Maharu awoke the next morning and did her morning routine. She was happy that it was already Friday because tomrrow would begin the weekend. Maharu got to school and checked her schedule. She saw that her first period was: Math & Science, and that her second period was: Language arts & Social Studies. It was annoying how they combined two subjects in one class, but besides that fact Maharu didn't want to go to those classes because she had to go through the annoying introductions again. She only had to do this because she didn't get a chance to go to those classes yesterday. Maharu sat board in those two classes for each of their durations until lunch. Maharu hurried her way to lunch, so she could get a good spot. She sat at the same table she did on the first day and was able to have a normal conversation with all the people there. It was nice until that stupid bell rang. All she learned in magic class was how to transfrom a brick into any living object. It was cool because Maharu was able to get it down really quick. She even beat some of the witches and warlocks which was a huge deal. She was soon marked as class nerd, but that's good because this is a prestigious school. It would be quite interesting to have vampirism and be able to do really good magic. That would also help her greatly in life because she is now capable of doing jobs that would require magic. This means that she will have limitless opportunites for jobs. Maharu went on the day and learned nothing in her monster class. At her free period she found herself in an endless conversation with Drafter. Drafter invited Maharu to a party that he was throwing while his parents were away for the weekend. Maharu was so excited because this was going to be her first party in almost two years. At her old school she didn't get invited to tons of parties because she was a little anti-social. She was so excited to go that she went straight home and started prepearing for bed. Her mom gave her a weird look while her dad was actually home for once. She decided to only get dressed for bed, so she could spend time with her dad. Her pink silk pajamas were cozy around her. She wanted to go to sleep though because she was actually ready for bed. She was so excited she had almost forgotten to ask her mom if she could go to the party. She thought the best time to ask would be while they were eating dinner because that's when her father is always happiest. She figured her parents would say yes because they've always pushed her to have some kind of a social life. Sadly, she was wrong. Her parents said that they weren't going to risk her drinking because thay said "Normally there's a lot of drinking at high school parties." This was one of those rare times that Maharu hated her parents and was going to disobey them. She planned to sneak out tomorrow night because she wasn't going to be kept from having a social life. Her parents probably drank at their high school parties, so they're just being hypocrites. Maharu wished that she didn't have to disobey her parents, but her high school reputation was at stake. She didn't want to be know as, that girl who has the really lame parents. Why should she have to suffer that reputation because her parents are worried about a little drinking? Maharu didn't speak or listen to her parents for the rest of the night. They tried to talk to her, but she just gave them the cold shoulder. Of course her parents felt bad, but they thought what they were doing was right. Her parents decided not to force her to talk to them because Maharu could just morph into a bat and fly away. They weren't going to risk her flying away, so they just left her alone. Maharu was planning out her party outfit before going to sleep. She picked a short little party dress. The reds turned into oranges that met yellow. The three colors combined on the dress to make it quite the eye catcher. Maharu couldn't wait to show it off tomorrow. She also picked out some Vegas style heels that cotained the same three colors on them. They basically made her five inches taller. She praticed walking in them all night because she didn't wear heels often, let alone heels that high. She tripped many times, but was able to use her powers to keep herself from face planting into the floor. She couldn't risk hitting the floor, or her parents would come in to check on her and make sure that she was okay.
The day of the party Maharu slept in until her parents woke her up. She was still refusing to talk to them because of what had happened the night before. She just wanted it to be ten O'clock already because that's when the party was supposed to start. Her parents wouldn't leave her alone all day because they wanted her to talk to them. She just kept brushing them off because she thought that they weren't the most important thing in her life at the moment.
