Maharu flew out of the house in seconds. She was going to Drafter's house a little early. She knocked on the door. The man that answered the door was definetly not Drafter. The man had grey hair that was balding. He slouched, but you could tell that he was a fire giant considering his massive size. Maharu asked if Drafter was home, and the man told her to wait a second. She heard a little of the man's voice yelling for Drafter to come down to greet his guest. In a few moments after the yelling, Drafter appeared in the doorway. She saw that he had gotten up not to long ago. His hair was still a mess and he was in a white t-shirt with some ripped jeans. He ushered her inside. When she entered, Maharu saw a normal house. It was classy, but not to classy. It was also decorated in a southern style. There was a deer's head hanging on the wall next to some fancy painting. It was really weird for Maharu to see class meet southern, but it wasn't unwelcomed. Drafter tried to play it off by saying it wasn't anything special. He led her to his room, although his parents were obviously watching them very closely. Maharu understood, his parents probably didn't want any grandchildren yet. Drafter sat down on his bed and showed her where his desk chair was. He just started talking to her about how school sucked saying things like "Monster class is boring" and "We could do without that teacher in our day." Maharu just wanted to talk about something other than school teachers. Finally after ten minutes of her just saying yea or I agree, Drafter started to talk about something other than school teachers. They started talking about classmates. They said that Nicki needs to go out with Maxsion, the schools star basketball player who is a werewolve. They said Nicki's smart attitude might rub off on the werewolf because he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. They shared some laughs after that comment. They got into a conversation, it took Maharu a minute to notice, when their hands started touching. Maharu wanted to scream because of how amazing it felt. Drafter suddenly noticed it, but Maharu saw that he tried to play it off like he didn't notice. They kept talking, when his mother called their names to tell them that dinner was ready. Maharu swore under her breath because this meant her and Drafter were going to have to get up, which meant that their hands would stop touching. Maharu quickly got up and asked Drafter what they were having. He told her that they were having fried chicken with a side of caviar. Maharu couldn't believe that Drafter's family would eat something normal with something that cost more than her whole outfit. It amazed her that Drafter acted normal at school, it amazed her that he even went to public school, when he could be cocky and stuck up. This just strenthed Maharu's crush on Drafter. She was staring at him on their way to the dineing room, and she had hoped that he haden't noticed. Luckily he was oblvious to the fact. Maharu saw Drafter's mother for the first time, as she entered the dineing room. His mother was tall with a short red cocktail dress on. It was revealing, but Maharu soon learned why. Maharu saw a tail with a heart end, and remembered that a Succubus has a tail like that. It could explain why Drafter was so irresistible. The Succubus powers must've transfered down to him. Maharu almost wanted to leave then because she wasn't just going to be a play thing for some succubus, but after a hard mental battle she convinced herself to stay.

Maharu felt awkward and out of place eating with Drafter and his parents. She had to eat like a classy person, and pretend like the food actually soothed her hunger. Of course, the caviar sort of did because there was blood when she bit into them, but the taste was aweful. Maharu just smiled through dinner and left when the clock struck ten. Before leaving, Maharu gave Drafter a little hug and he rubbed her pink hair. As she was walking home [she didn't feel like walking], she remembered that she had just stormed out of her house. She knew that once she got home, she would be in a lot of trouble. Maharu walked as slowly as she could manage without just standing still. Maharu kept walking, until she saw Nicki sitting on a bench reading. Maharu sat down next to Nicki and looked at what book she was reading. The book Nicki was reading was "A Game Of Thrones."  Maharu had always wanted to read the book, but her parents forbid it until she was older. Maharu slowly asked Nicki how the book was going. Nicki jumped a little, not realizing that Maharu had even sat down. "Oh my book.. it's going quite wonderful. Besides Lady Catlyn who's being a bitch by hating Jon for no reason." Maharu didn't know what she was talking about, but she nodded in agreement like she knew. Nicki just kept going on and on about the book, and eventually Maharu got bored and decided to just go into day dream mode. All she would do in day dream mode is reply with: yes, no, that's awesome, or I agree/disagree. Those answers worked for almost every situation. It was midnight by the time Nicki was done talking. Maharu woke up from day  dream mode and noticed what time it was. She got worried and started contemplanting what to do. She knew she'd be in more trouble if she didn't get home before one, but she was going to go home to trouble no matter what. Maharu though that she'd lessen her punishment, so she used her super speed to run home. She knocked on the door. Her father answered sighing in relief. "I thought that you wouldn't come home tonight." Maharu's father ushered her inside the house. He sat Maharu down on the couch. "Please just give your mother a break", her father said, having a sort of begging look in his eye. "She just wants the best for you. I know you know that. Look, I get that you want time to hang out with your friends, being it's a new town and al, but you also need to make some time once in awhile for your mother." "Look I have been, but she wants to much time!" "Look you're mother is lonely because she left all her friends back in the other deminsion. Just give her some time to find some new friends, but until then, try to spend some time with her." "Fine, I'll do my best." Of course Maharu was lying just so she could get the conversation over. She didn't want to spend tons of time with her mom. Maybe a day out of every week, but anymore than that would kill her. Her mother was imbearable to hang out with for long periods of time. She was one of those people that talks a lot about stuff that means nothing. Maharu knew that she was thinking like a mean person, but no one really wants to hang out with those types of people.

Maharu walked away from her dad once he finally dismissed her. She wanted to go to her room and think about how she and Drafter had held hands for almost ten minutes. Also she wanted to write the events of her day in her diary, which she kept hidden in the part of her wall that was under her bed. The first day they moved in, Maharu had found an old space which she had decided to use to hide her diary in. Once she got to her room, Maharu went under her bed and pushed the loose part of the wall out. She felt around until she felt the satin cover of her diary. She knew every crease and material of the book because she made it herself using sheets and cut up paper. She had to make it herself because she didn't want her mother or father to know she had one and look through it. It irritated her that she had to keep the diary from them, but it was for everyone's own good. The arguments it would bring if they read it would make her get grounded forever. She grabbed the book and looked at it. It was dusty, as usual, because of being in the old wall. The dust was eventually going to cause her book to grow mold in the spring. She knew this, but until she found a better place to keep it, she'd have to make do with that space. Maharu opened the book and grabbed a pencil from the mess that was her floor. She started writing about how much she wanted her and Drafter to be a thing and also about what had gone on throughout the day. She also had to include things that had happened in the previous days because she haden't had any time to write them in, considering that her parents were constantly in her room talking to her about how she'd been acting. She wrote about her first day of school, the party, and of course all the friends that she had made in the past few days. She liked to be able to express her feelings in her diary because it would show her how she had grow over time. This diary was old though, considering she got it in sixth grade when her mom made her take sewing classes, so that she could assimilate into the human population. She had secretly sewn the diary and had decided to keep it hidden until she was older. She decided to read some older sections to see what she was like when she still lived in the vampire dimension. One of the ones from her seventh grade year read, I hate everyone here They're all just a bunch of idiots anyways. Maharu noticed that she use to be really angry and anti-social as a child. She wanted to know why she had been like that, but she couldn't think of any reason that she'd be like that. A lot of her memories as a child in the vampire dimension were fuzzy to her. Maybe it was because her senses as a vampire were much stronger because of the vampire energy everywhere. Well, whatever the reason, Maharu was just glad that those emotions no longer existed. She was glad that this year was different. She had a lot of friends and relatively nice teachers. Maharu took a moment to think to herself. She thought that if these few days have been this hard, then how am I going to survive the entire one hundred and eighty school days of the year. Maharu pondered that thought for a while until her parents called down the hall. They were telling her to go to dinner. Maharu shut her diary, put it back into the secret hole, and went to eat dinner. She knew that this year would have its ups and downs, but it would be great.
