Maharu's head hurt because she didn't get any sleep last night. She hadn't even noticed that the party had lasted that long until her stupid new alarm clock told her by ringing in her ears. She had bags under her eyes. She was so tired that even her bags had bags. She was glad that it was Sunday. She could just relax and take it easy. Her mother came into her room to see if she had slept through her alarm clock or if it was loud enough to wake her up. "Oh looks like that new alarm clock is going to work just fine", said Maharu's mother as she was smiling to her daughter. "We have to go shopping for some new clothes that you can wear to school." Maharu sighed and asked if they could go shopping next weekend, but her mother gave her that look of, we're doing this today no ifs ands or buts about it. Maharu frowned but knew that she was going to have to go. She showered and got dressed. It was cloudy out, so she didn't have to put on her burqa. Maharu liked it on days like this because she could look like a regular teen. They both used their ability of flight to get to the mall. Maharu looked all around to find a store that she ctually wanted to buy clothes from. She finally settled on Ghoul Looks. It's a store that sells clothes that monsters wear. Of course some humans buy the clothes, so that they can look like monsters. Maharu searhed around for the perfect outfit while her mom looked for something that was conservitive. Maharu hated it when she was younger. Her mom would make her wear the stupidest clothes because her mom said that it would make her look like a proper lady. Well her mom couldn't do that anymore because Maharu had her own say in what she would wear. She continued looking around and found the perfect outfit. It was a punk rock looking outfit. It was made up of a black beenie, a shirt with ripped edges(done on purpose), and a short skirt with mesh leggings. Maharu thought was perfect. Her mother on the other hand thought that it showed too much skin, and that it was unnecessary for her daughter to dress like that. Maharu just bought the outfit with her own money. Her mother couldn't stop her from using her own money, so that's what Maharu did most of the time. She went to the back of the store to the dressing rooms to put on her new outfit. It felt a little weird to her because the outfit was quite tight on her. She figured that was just because it was new. Maharu decided to wear the outfit out of the store. She saw some friends as she was walking around the mall. They all complimented her on her new outfit, saying that it was unquie and fits her perfectly. Maharu was still deadly tired though. She was slouching and every could see, apparently with the exception of her mother, that she just wanted to go home and sleep. Her mother knew this, but she was going to push Maharu to her limit. This was because Maharu's mother was smarter than her father, so she figured she would sort of torture Maharu to teach her a lesson. Maharu looked around for an exit. She had started to feel a little nauseous. The world around her was spinning. Maharu was walking outside, when she suddenly passed out.
Maharu awoke to see her mother standing over her. Her mother was shaking her head and said, "So.. you went to that party last night? Well, at least I was kind enough to let you sleep." Maharu gave her best I'm sorry look. Her mother just walked out of the room. Maharu felt ashamed of herself because here her parents let her do most things she wanted, but she disobeyed them for a stupid party. She didn't feel that way for long because her father was standing over her smiling. He was basically telling her that he forgave her. Maharu's father was a lot more understanding and calm then her mother. Her father soon left the room and Maharu took a moment to take in everything that had just occured. Her mother was angry at her, her father was disappointed in her, and she was still feeling a bit tired. It would be a hard day tomrrow. There was a no doubt about that.
Maharu woke up in a haste because she had a lot to do. It was Monday ,and because of the events of the weekened she had neglected to do her homework. She was rushing to get all of it done. It would be to much for a human, but her vampire speed allowed her to finish all her homework in twenty minutes. She may have been able to do it fast, but she still had the brain ache that humans get after doing a lot of work. The ache was annoying Maharu so much, that she decided to hit her head against the closet. It actually worked because her head ache was soon gone afterwards. It may have hurt like hell, but it was worth it to have pain for a few seconds then to have a headache all day long. After getting rid of her headache, Maharu did her morning routine and started flying to school. When she arrived at school, she could see Ethan standing by the door. She calmly said hi and they started talking. He was talking about the big dance tht was coming up. He said it's the Beginnings Dance. Ethan explained how it was basically a way to see the couples that had formed. Maharu didn't really want to go since it was just a big gossip dance, and Maharu dispised gossip. She wasn't going to be one of those popular girls that acts like a bitch. Anyways, Maharu kept talking to Ethan until the bell rang. She took her normal seat for first period. Her first period teacher was super strict. She was talking about how if she finds one mark on one of the test sheet, that that person would be suspended. She only was saying this because she was mad at the printing people for not printing enough copies of the test. She was also irritated because this made her have to laminate about a thousand bubble sheets. Maharu sort of understood because she would probably be extrememly pissed if that happened. She wished that the printing troublles would've caused Mr. Cranky ,everyone calls her that, to postpone or even cancel the test, but no she just decides to threaten getting them suspended like an old shrew. Maharu luckily got through the test without making a mark on the test. The woman was so OCD about it though. Before she'd acept your bubble sheet, she would carefully scan every little spot of your testing paper. If she saw the smallest bit of grapphite on the paper, she would say "I'll be seeing you after class." She'd say it in the calmest voice just to be a bitch and engrave the fear into you. Maharu was glad to have made it through that class. She got to her second period to find that the Language Arts portion was going to be spent reading a book. The book was Flowers For Algernon. Maharu just waited for the science portion of the class to end. She wanted to read the book because she had heard about it and thought it might be worth checking out. When she did finally get to read it, she was glad to be in Language Arts (which is really rare and almost unheard of). The book was amazing to her young mind. She read up to the part where Charlie gets the operation. When she heard the bell ring she swore under her breath because she wanted to keep reading. She begged her teacher to let her borrow a copy of the book, but the teacher said that she'll just have to wait until tomrrow. Maharu wanted to just steal a copy, but she wasn't going to get in trouble again. Her monsters class was the same as everyday. Well it was, until Maharu managed to get herself a ticket to detention. She got the detention because she couldn't shut up for two seconds. This was because her and Drafter were talking about the dance. Neither of them wanted to go, so he asked her if she wanted to come over to his house on the day of the dance. Maharu was screaming with joy inside, but managed to keep it dormant by talking about what they were going to do at his house. Lucky for Maharu the detention was on Sunday and not Saturday. She was going to Drafter's house on Saturday, and she wasn't going to miss it for anything.
Saturday
"Honey wake up," Maharu's mother said to her. "We're going out today, don't you remember?" No," Maharu replied. "Well I didn't tell you because I wanted it to be a suprise." "Mom please no! I'm going to a friends house today!" "Look, you're coming with me or you won't leave the house today." "So you're forcing me to go?" "Yes." Maharu wanted to punch her mom in the face so much, but she managed to contain her anger. "Well I'm going to his house, and you're not going to stop me." Maharu quickly left her room to get away from her mother.
