The plane lands at LAX and I'm one of the first people to get off, as I was sitting in first class. I thank the stewardesses before following the signs to the carousel.

When I get to the carousel, I grab a trolley and wait for my bags to come around. The first bag arrives, and I retrieve it. After waiting for a few more minutes, my second bag stops in front of me.

Grabbing it, I place the bag on the trolley and head in the direction of the car hire place. When I arrive, a few people are already in line.

I hope they have the Mercedes Benz I booked. I have to drive home in style.

If I don't my parents won't let the car into their driveway. They told me, when I was growing up, that they only want the hottest cars to come through the gate.

When I return the car I'll have to look for another one that my parents will approve of.

A guy says, "I didn't know I had to book a car. Why don't you have something for me?"

The lady behind the counter says, "You can book online. We won't have any cars coming back for a couple of days. I'm sorry."

He shakes his head. "You're not sorry. Besides, I know companies like this keep cars aside for their workers. I used to work for a company like this one and I had access to some of the greatest cars I've ever driven."

The lady picks up the phone and calls someone.

A couple minutes later, a guy in a suit steps out of the office and takes the man with him.

She looks at me as I approach the counter. "Do you have a reservation?"

"Yes." I give her the copy of my receipt and she types my information into the computer. "Can I see a valid driver's license, please?"

I grab my license from my purse and show her.

She takes it from me. "Have you been to Los Angeles before Miss Hilton?"

I laugh. "I grew up here, but I haven't been home for three years as I've been travelling for work."

She gives me the keys. "I supposed that would have been hard to have a relationship?"

"It was. Now, I'm back home anything is possible." I take my stuff to the car and load it up. After shutting the trunk, I roll the cart into a trolley bay that was nearby, then climb into the car.

Putting the key into the ignition, I head in the direction of Beverley Hills.

While driving on the Interstate, the Hollywood sign comes into view.

I'm finally home.

My phone starts to ring, and while hooking it onto the charger, I put it on loudspeaker.

Me: Hello, it's Kadence.

Voice: Hey, sis. Are you coming home for Christmas? It was my brother, Lucas.

Me: Yes, are you at the parents' house yet?

Lucas: Yeah, my family and I are staying with them until New Year's Day.

Me: Great, can you talk freely?

Lucas: I'm with Mom and Dad. Why?

Me: Don't tell them, but I'll be there shortly. Is there any way you can meet me at the driveway and let me in without them knowing?

Lucas: Sure, I'll head up there now.

Me: See you soon.

I hang up the phone and head pass the Beverly Hills sign. I drive up the hill until I get close to the bush where my parents place is.

Pulling into the driveway, I see my brother at the gate, and he opens it for me. He walks up to the car and opens the door. "Can you take me to the house?"

"Sure." Looking at him, I say, "Don't I get a hello, big brother?"

"Of course you do. Hello, Kadence. How have you been?"

"Good and you?"

"Great, now that my sister has chosen to come home for Christmas. Mom and Dad's parties haven't been the same since you stopped coming to them."

"I was busy travelling for the company. They never let me take time off work because I was an asset to the team."

"What do you mean by you were an asset to the team?"

"They fired me because one of the important clients didn't want to stay with the company."

"You don't seem too upset that you were fired."

Shaking my head, I say, "I'm ready to see where my life will take me now. I miss being around family, and I want to spend time with my nieces and nephews."

A smile spreads across his face. "My kids are going to love that. Emma, Milan and Coden are all going to love having their little sister back in town. You're the last one the parents are going to marry off. I can tell you're not ready for that to happen yet."

I shake my head. "I'm not sure if I'll ever be ready for that." Driving down the driveway, I finally see the family house. Christmas lights hang on the edges of the roof, around doors, the porch and windows.

I can't wait to see it all lit up tonight.

When I get to the front of the house, my entire family stands in front of the doors. Climbing out of the car, I say, "Did you all miss me?"

My brothers and sisters run over to me, giving me a group hug.

"Of course we missed you," Milan says, "There's no one in the family like you, sis."

Coden, my twin, holds onto me tightly. "Please, tell me you're not going to leave us again."

I kiss his cheek. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm back home for good."

Mom steps towards me. "Your bedroom is still yours, sweetheart. You can stay here for as long as you need."

I wrap my arms around her. "Thanks, Mom. I don't know what I'm going to do since I lost my job."

"Take some time off. After everything you've done you deserve a break. You could always work in the family company if you need to? After all you have experience in that field."

"I'll think about it."

Dad smiles at me. "I'm glad you're home, princess. You need to sort your siblings out. They've been a pain in our asses since you left three years ago."

"I spoke to you all the time. It's not like I disappeared off the face of the earth."

"Everyone is going to be happy that you're going to be at the Christmas party this year. Everyone keeps asking about you and I didn't like telling them that you were working during the holidays the last three years and you couldn't take time off to visit us."

The annual Christmas parties were always my favorite growing up. We invite family and friends, and there's a lot of paparazzi. They show up and take pictures of us.

The Hilton family usually does an interview with one of the magazines. Although, I'm not sure which one Mom and Dad chose this year.

Looking at my parents, I say, "Which magazine is interviewing the family?"

Mom looks at the ground. "We haven't had interviews since you left. It felt weird to do it without you. So, we just cancelled it. Is there a magazine you want us to talk to this year?"

Shaking my head, I say, "Actually, I'm happy not to be interviewed."
