In the greenhouse, where Wade is hiding, now sitting while wrapping his arms and knees. He's also looking at huge plants and trees around him. For Wade... it makes him calm down... but he keeps remembering about earlier... with Iori. He felt horrible for acting for who he is.
"...and that's how others see their new trend! Isn't it amazing, Iori?" Wade said as he smiled.
"Yeah. Interesting." Iori replied, trying to have a talk with Wade. Wade got a bit disappointed. "Hmph. You seem bored."
"I guess I am. I apologize for that. It's just... your topic is on the controversy side, and other things that people in our school want to talk about recently. It felt... fake somehow." Iori said according to her own opinion. Wade... decided to stop walking while they're already in front of the door to their class. Of course, no other students are around.
"Class Pres... I mean, Wade. Why did you stop?" Iori asked.
For a while, Wade sighs in frustration. Before he'll look at Iori, he looks at the classroom first. Then, looking now at Iori, Wade had a serious expression, looking at her eyes sharply. "...Then, are you happy everyday struggling... feeling left out in class... not having big groups... and looking at you strangely... and talking about you at your back? Are you satisfied with just that?" Wade asked her. Iori... suddenly surprised at first... then calms down as she faces him with a straightforward answer. "It's better to be with someone you trust most of the time, than to be with people who doesn't even know he or she has experienced. It felt comfortable that way."
For Wade, at first, he thought of Iori as a stubborn and problematic classmate that makes her classmates judging her. When they became seatmates, Wade knew it wasn't just that. He learns that Iori, deep inside, she is smart and caring at people around her as she can. Just like how Iori helps her childhood friend's (Henderson's) problems sometimes at class since they also became seatmates, how she participates in class with her classmates, how she took care of his younger siblings before going home, and how she helped Scout earlier... it all made sense for Wade. Making him realize the real Iori.
"...Ah. I wish I'm like you, Iori... if only I'm as strong as you...if you only know what I've been through... I..." Wade thought, helplessly looking at Iori. As they look at each other, Iori became conscious. "W-Wade---"
At the next moment, Wade holds her head to his chest... while his other arm is hugging her immediately yet gently. "Iori... if you only met and knew me completely years ago... I won't be like this today... I... I can protect you if you want... but not like this..." he said in worry while trembling. Right now, Iori can feel it. His warmth and his nervous heartbeats running through his chest. Iori can see that Wade is quite trembling indeed... yet she can't see Wade's self-anger.
...Yet, Iori's few seconds headache occurs. Iori got a bit shocked... as she accidentally pushes Wade away. Then, Iori holds her head as she finally felt her sensor towards Wade himself.
"No way... it is coming from him... He's... the next holder I should face, head on." Iori thought as she looks at the emotionless Wade. Until, Wade briskly walks away from the hallway all of a sudden. "I-I need to clear my head...! I'll be right back until class starts! Clean the classroom, Iori...!"
"...Wade." Iori said in a worried tone, while watching him walking away.
"...If I show the real me to Iori, she will... hate me too... Ugh. Sir Tanchangco, what should I do to control it..." Wade spoke for himself. Not knowing what to do... It felt new to him.
