...The following day, as Scout and Trygve reached the school gate like the other students in Southeast High School, Scout suddenly stopped walking. Trygve noticed him. "Scout? Who are you looking at?" he asked.
It took a while before he replied. "...I guess she's not here today."
"She?" Trygve asked him again.
Scout nods. "I guess she's at her classroom already."
Trygve gets quite confused. "Um... why won't you text her? That way, you won't get worried."
Scout took out his phone. "G-Good thinking, Trygve...!" He texted too fast afterwards.
"...Scout. We really need to get inside the school."
Meanwhile, at the train, Iori received a message. Because of the crowded train during rush hours, Iori can't reply. Nia is beside her that time.
Many minutes later, at 11-C classroom, Scout is getting worried. "...I think she's busy." he thought.
Before Nia came to the classroom, she met her classmate, Sandra. "Aha! Long time, no see!" Sandra said as she gives a warm hug at Nia. Nia chuckled. "Sandra. The last time I saw was only yesterday."
As they continued talking, Scout finally received a message. He checks his phone.
Iori: I apologize for the delay. I was on the train with Nia when you texted me. Rush hour.
"Iori finally texted me today..." Scout thought himself with a sigh of relief. At the same time, he's also holding his phone upwards like he got a miracle from the clouds. Some of his classmates are now looking at him. "We never saw him like that before..."
After a minute of raising his phone up, he finally let it down to the table of his seat... and he take a screenshot of the current screen.
Meanwhile, at 11-B classroom, Iori... received a reply after a second from Scout.
Scout: ---a photo of Scout who made a victory pose at his house with a photo of a kitten---
...Iori hesitated at first. Yet, she squealed so hard as her head is at her table of her seat (Iori's weakness is the ability to see any adorable visuals. For example, Reese's crossdressing...). "Oh my gosh! That little cat! So small and adorable!!! Scout's kitten is a stress reliever for the soul...!"
Iori: Did you adopt the kitten? If yes, what's the name?
Scout: I saw the kitten outside the backyard so I adopt the kitten. She has no name yet. If she will have a name, her name must be special.
Iori: Name it! Name it!
Scout: Not now.
Iori: Aww :(
Back to 11-C class, before the class starts, Scout smiled and turns off the phone. Nia actually noticed it. "...He never smiled like that until now." Then, Nia slightly smirks. "Ah! I remember now. Iori's next holder is the student council pres. She finally made progress..!"
...Then again, minutes later, Nia looks for a bit... and she saw Scout is trying his best to be fully awake. Well, half awake. "...Make that as a step one out of step ten." Nia thought.
