Not a secret anymore

Regina's pov
Finally it was the day that we were waiting with so much emotion, finally the girl I love, would have graduated.
Finally we could have come out in the open, we wouldn't have had to hide anymore, we could have been a normal couple.
I couldn't wait to take her by hand in public, to kiss her without worrying that anyone could see us, from that moment things couldn't help but improve.
I was so excited to see her graduate, she deserved it, she had been through so much, she had made so much progress.
I left the house smiling and walked towards my car thinking of my Emma.
I drove to school and looked around me, there were so many students, and I finally saw her ... She was so beautiful and happy. I got out of the car and walked to the school hall and sat down in front of the stage in the place reserved for the professors.
The students began to advance, walking on the stage and finally our looks collided and immediately I recognized a hint of redness on Emma's cheeks. My smile became more bigger and I looked at her with admiration and love.
She stepped till the microphone and looked around.
'Umh hello. I'm Emma Swan and first of  all I would like to thank all the people who have helped me in these years
'My friends' - Emma smiled and looked at her friends on her side.
'My professors' - Emma looked at my colleagues who smiled satisfied.
'And ....' -Emma finally looked in my direction
'One person in particular, who changed my life' -Emma looked at me with love and smiled resting the microphone on the counter.
I looked at Emma slightly confused as she handed the stage stairs to the audience.
'I don't know what I would have done without her' - Emma kept talking without microphone walking in my direction.
'She's Regina Mills' - Emma stopped in front of me and took my hand.
I stood up slowly, looking at her smiling.
'What are you doing?' I asked her in a whisper and followed her when she started walking towards the stage.
'And today I would like to ask her something important' - Emma arrived on stage and made sure I was in front of her.
I looked around the audience and at Emma who slowly went to her knees.
'E-Emma?' - I whispered.
Emma took a small box from her dress and opened it slowly.
'Regina Mills, I fell in love with you from the first moment I saw you, it's been a long time and finally it will no longer be a secret. I love you. Will u marry me?"
I had tears in my eyes and quickly put my hand on my mouth for surprise.
'Yes! Yes I want' - I managed to say between tears and sobs
Emma put the ring on my finger and kissed my hand gently, getting up.
Quickly I hugged her hard, crying for happiness and closing my eyes, enjoying the warmth of her arms.
When I opened my eyes I saw the people in the audience looking at us in shock, but slowly they got up and applauded at the scene.
Emma took my face in hand and kissed me softly, while the crowd cheered and whistled more.
I smiled in kiss and put arms around her neck pulling her close to me.
Slowly the kiss ended and Emma put her forehead on mine.
'I love you Regina Mills'
'I love you too, Emma Swan'
I smiled happy and started walking off the stage giving space to other students.
We sat down and slowly I put my head on Emma's shoulder, relaxing, knowing that at last ours was no longer a secret.
I looked at my ring, smiling, and touched it with my finger.
'Regina Swan-Mills' - I whispered
Emma looked at me smiling and kissed my head.
'It's perfect'
