Lana's POV
"Dammit Lana, when are you gonna wake up?" Stacey's voice was loud as she woke up up for the fifth time.
"Come on, you gotta take my shift at the Buck today. You got only 30 minutes to get ready."
I sat up and turn my face towards the clock on the wall. "Your shift starts at 9, right?" I asked with my hoarse voice.
"Yes so get up ass up already. You're gonna be late." Stacey shouted from outside my room. She seemed busy doing something.
"But it's not even 8am right now, Stace." I pointed out. Unless this clock decided to troll me in this nearly morning, which might get itself thrown in the bin if it did trolled me.
Stacey stopped by the bedroom door. "Yes but today you're taking the subway. I'm taking your car. We've talked about this, remember?? God Lana please tell me you remember. I need the car today."
"Holy shit I forgot about that!" I ran towards the bathroom to get myself prepared.
Now the memory came back. Last night Stacey was telling me about this online boyfriend she had for like a year and finally they decided to meet up. Allen? Aiden? Well something like that. I couldn't really remember since I was half asleep so I was only pretending to listen to her. What was worse than Prof Jacovic's lecture would be Stacey ranting about boys.
I arrived at the Starbuck only a few minutes before Stacey's shift starts. Taking somebody's shift was so lame. But I had to do it since Stacey took my shift a couple of times because I had dates with Annabelle, of course.
There were so many customers today. I actually hated working here. I hated working at all. But I needed the money for college.
I just finished taking orders from two guys when my phone rang. It was Annabelle. But I couldn't pick it up while working, so I declined and texted her.

Hey bumbum. Can't talk right now, I'm at the Buck. What's up?
-Lana

I thought you don't have work today? I need to talk to you.
-Belle

-Lana
---

-Belle

Chumchum? LOL true. It hurts my heart to wait until 4. Where d'you wanna meet up?
-Lana
---

-Belle
---

-Lana

After I finished the shift, I quickly went to the subway and headed to Annabelle's apartment. After she buzzed me in, I practically ran up the stairs.
"Well, you're late. What happened at 3?" Annabelle teased before I wrapped my arms around her lower back and kissed her like she was my air and I was gasping to breathe.
"First, I couldn't sneak out because there were too much customers today so I gotta stay until my shift ended. Second, I took the subway here. Stace took my car." My arms still wrapped around her and her hands playfully played with my purple hair.
"Subway? Well that must've been unpleasant." She crinkled her nose.
"Well, your highness, it really isn't as bad as you thought. Maybe I could take you out on a subway date sometime?" I grinned. Annabelle hated subways. Because it's crowded and underground. She had fears of being underground. She said she didn't trust the ground to not fall on her. I didn't know how was that any different than trusting the roof of her apartment to not fall either. "You said you need to talk?"
"Uhh, yeah. We need to talk. Maybe you wanna sit down first?" She took my hand and lead me to the sofa. Fears crawled inside of me. I didn't know what to expect. I hope it was nothing bad.
Annabelle took a deep breath before speaking up. "My parents are coming on on Sunday."
"And?"
"And I want you to meet them."
"Oh. Well that's great." This wasn't so bad. She was just going to introduce me to her parents, I just need to give the good impression, that was all. "So how should I act?" Knowing how Annabelle's parents are rich and fancy people, she probably in would want me to be in a specific well behavior.
"Actually, I want you to be just the way you are. Which is, my girlfriend."
"Okay. That won't be a problem at all." I smiled proudly. "Wait what?? I thought you haven't came out to your parents?"
"Well, I will be. I need you to be there. Can you do this for me?"
I hesitated. "Y-Yes. Yes of course, Belle. Of course I'll be there for you." I assured. But I honestly didn't think if this was a good idea. Somehow, her parents terrifies me and I've never even met them yet. I have a feeling that they won't like me very much. But if this was what Annabelle wanted me to do, then fine. I would do anything for my baby.
"Alright, so how long are they going to be here?"
"Not long. They said two days but I don't think they'd even gonna stay a night."
"Aw Belle. But at least they're coming, yeah? They're just really busy people. You know how adults are. They have companies to run or whatever. They're doing it for you."
"Yeah, I know. But sometimes I just hope that they'd see that all I need was their attention, yknow."
"Yeah I understand." The memories from the past tried to haunt me back but I brushed them off quickly before I got too caught up with my emotions. "So hey, Kim's not going to be home anytime soon right?" I winked and gave her a cheeky smile before she jumped on my lap and started to literally take my breath away.
