(Lana's POV)
"She's your what!?" Mrs. Watson screamed out with wide eyes while her husband chocked on his wine.
"Girlfriend, mother. Lana's my girlfriend." Annabelle said in almost a whispering voice.
Everybody was silent for a moment. Annabelle's parents looked like they were turned into stones. While Annabelle avoid their hard glare by looking at her food on the table with her forehead wrinkled. We were at some fancy restaurant I've ever thought I'd have the chance to be in.
As things couldn't get more awkward for me, her mother slowly turned to face me, still with her wide eyes. She scanned me up and down, and shook her head. I stared exactly into her eyes, I couldn't look away though I tried hard to. I was so scared and I didn't know what to do, what she would do.
"She's not your girlfriend." Mr. Watson with a fake laugh and a fake smile while her eyes full of worries. I felt like I was going to throw up. From anxiousness and from the anger that rose up in me by the looks Annabelle's parents threw me. It was the looks that said, 'this stupid ass can't be your girlfriend I mean look at her, pffth.'
"Father, she is. We've been together for more than a month." Annabelle voice increased confidently.
"She's a girl, honey. You are not a lesbian." Her mother finally snapped from shock.
"Mother, when a girl is in love with another girl, I'm sure they call them lesbians."
Mr. Watson sighed heavily and covered his face with both his hands. "Oooh god." He groaned.
And then Mrs. Watson suddenly stood up and put her hand on her husband's shoulder. "Come on, darling. Let's go back. You too Belle. You're coming with us."
"What, why??"
"We'll stop by your apartment to take all your stuff."
"Mother!"
"We're taking you back to London, dear. No arguments, just get in the car." She said sternly.
"London?? No, but mothe-"
"You can't take her with you!" I stood up. "For fuck sake Belle, tell them!"
Annabelle looked terrified. She looked like she was about to cry. "T-tell them,, what?" She stuttered.
I leaned down and grabbed her by her shoulders. "Tell them you can't go back. You don't want to go back. Please. You can't leave me, Belle." I said desperately.
Annabelle stared into my eyes with much intensity. I knew she wasn't fully prepared to come out to her parents. I knew this was a bad idea. But I didn't know it would be this bad. Before she could reply, I felt rough hands shoving me back from Annabelle.
"Don't you DARE touch our daughter ever again, you filthy bitch." Mrs. Watson spat out. And harshly took Annabelle's hand and lead her towards the exit door. Mr. Watson was already outside, waiting for a valet to bring their car.
I ran towards them. This couldn't be happening. This was wrong. It shouldn't have gone this way. I tried to pull Mrs. Watsons hands away from Annabelle. "You can't do this! Let her go! You can't do this!"
My effort was useless when I felt arms grabbing me from the back and holding me still so I couldn't move. I turned my head and saw two tall guys in black suit which I assume were the guards.
I was screaming by then. Annabelle's parents were forcing her to get in the car and I tried so hard to get off from strong arms that were holding me still. And when they let me go, it was when the car drove off.
I tried to scream, I tried to call out for my baby. But no voice could come out when I feel my throat clenched, followed by streaks of tears running freely down my face. I couldn't breath. I was panting and puffing and suddenly it was freezing outside. My knees went weak and I found myself on the ground, I couldn't find the energy to bring myself back up. All I can do was watch the car fading into the distance and feel the pain inside me as someone just took my heart out of my chest.
