Before I realized it my eyes were on Gino.
"Hi Maddie," he said noticing that I was staring at him given that I haven't see him really since we had that dance and kissed in it and now that he wasn't 12 and in his awkward stage I realized maybe he wasn't that bad after all. I mean he was really buff and tall now with perfectly positioned brown hair and a really nice tan.
"Oh uh sorry, long time no see," I said running down the steps. Chloe, Paige and Kendall all greeted him with a hug and I figured that I had to too. I went up to him and he embraced me. His hug was so tight and he smelt like Abercrombie. I almost didn't wanna let go.
Maddie what are you doing, just a couple years ago you didn't want anything to do with him and now you're just melting in his touch.
"Let's go in the basement I think Josh and his little friends are down there," Paige said leading us all into the basement.
"You look amazing," Gino whispered into my ear as he let go of my waist.
"You too," I smiled and followed Paige down into the basement.
"Doorbell!" Paige's older sister and former ALDC dancer Brooke yelled from the top floor.
"Maddie wanna come with?" Paige said and I got up from her black leather sectional in the basement and followed her up the stairs, "Mads what was that about?"
Shit.
"What do you mean?" I asked playing dumb.
"Don't play dumb Madison I saw the way you and Gino reconnected in my foyer!"
"Oh that..."
"Well?"
"Don't you need to get the door?" I said trying to change the conversation.
"Whatever be that way," Paige moaned and opened the front door to see her boyfriend of the time Nick Dobbs. Paige jumped into his arms when she saw him.
"I missed you," she said.
"Missed you too," he said stroking her back.
"Hey Nick," I said when him and Paige finally let go which seemed like an eternity later.
"Hey Kiddo," he said and I rolled my eyes.
Brandon appeared behind him.
"Brandon!" I squealed since I hadn't seen him in so long and ran up to give him a hug. He also hugged Paige.
"Hey buddy easy on the hug," Nick monitored them.
"Easy there tiger," Paige said and walked them down to the basement, "well it looks like everyone is here, so it's time to start the festivities."
Paige smirked at me and grabbed a wine bottle from her parents wine cooler.
