Taeyeon scooted back into her room and opened the door softly, but to her surprise. Her wife is still wide awake , "Just come in. Don't worry , we're not sleeping." Taeyeon closed the door behind her and walked to her wife and daughter. "Why are you two still awake?" Taeyeon asked and planted a kiss on her wife's temple. "She's being fussy...and she has a slight fever. Not much don't worry." Taeyeon sighed and took a look at her daughter.
"Umma will give you cuddles later okay?" Taeyeon scrambled into the bathroom for a quick shower.
"Umma is home now... can you go to sleep?" Tiffany asked her daughter. But the little girl was still fussing around. Tiffany sighed while holding her daughter close to her, "You're warm. You don't feel good right? It's normal. It's okay. We are here for you" She kissed her daughter's hand. Rosie squirmed around and let out a loud cry. Scaring her mummy witless.
"What's wrong with you?" Tiffany immediately took out the thermometer and measured her daughter. But it was just a little bit warm. Nothing much. She stood up and held her daughter closer to her. Rosie kept crying to the point Taeyeon had to cut her shower short. The older woman quickly came out with her bathrobe and went over to her girls. "What's wrong?"
"She's just fussing because of the fever." Tiffany said calmly. Taeyeon watched on as her daughter kept rubbing her face onto her wife's shirt. "Pass her to me." Tiffany passed Rosie over to her wife and quickly grabbed her daugther's bottle. "I'm going down to make some warm honey with milk for her." Taeyeon kissed her daughter's temple and felt the temperature. "You're just a little warm. Rosie-ya... umma miss you so much today. Do you miss me?"
Rosie's cries soften a little bit, her hands reached out and grabbed a hold of Taeyeon's robe. "You went to the doctor's right? It was good right? They weighed you and you gained more weight. Ottoke, you are getting heavier." She pushed her daughter's head slightly to the crook of her neck while swaying their bodies side to side. She sang a lullaby to her and watched as her daughter slowly calmed down. "It's comfortable right?"
At that moment , Tiffany came up with the milk. Her heart just melted at her wife singing their daughter a lullaby. She approached Taeyeon and hugged the woman from behind. "It's hard on you today right?" Taeyeon asked, Tiffany shook her head. "I'm okay. It's not that bad. She had it worse than me"
"She's almost sleeping." Taeyeon whispered. Tiffany peeked over and was glad her daughter is finally calm and is willing to sleep. "I swear she's just so good whenever she's with you. No fussing , no grumpy baby."
"Just spend more time with her alone. And she will get used to you." Taeyeon walked over slowly to the crib and put her daughter down. But the moment her back touched the mattress, Rosie openes up her eyes and starts crying again. "Arasso... arasoo. Why? Do you want us to hold you?" Taeyeon held her daughter up again and swayed her. "Go put on some clothes." Tiffany said and grabbed Rosie from her wife. Taeyeon thanked her wife silently and put on some comfy t shirt.
Tiffany held her daughter and lay on the bed with Rosie on top of her. "Babe, can you take my bra off? I can't do it with her on top of me." Taeyeon scurried to the bed and unhook the bra. Her hands were all over Tiffany's smooth back. "Seriously Kim Taeyeon..."
"Just admiring your smooth skin.."Taeyeon said while grinning. "Go to sleep first. I might wake you up later for night duties." Tiffany warned. Taeyeon gave her wife a salute and prepared for bed. She noticed the baby sleeper on their bed, "Put her down."
"She'll start crying.." Tiffany said. Taeyeon ignored her wife and put Rosie on the sleeper. The moment she put her daughter down , Rosie starts whining and her tears are about to roll down her face, but Taeyeon is unfazed. She shushed her daughter and slowly pat her little belly. "Go to sleep. You are okay." She patted her daughter belly and ignored her daughter's whims.
