I pulled him into a hug. He tried to push me awhile but I just latched on tighter to which he eventually gave in a hugged me back, sobbing into my shoulder. "Things'll be different now," I promised quietly. "Different for the better," I added. I had never seen Kurama is such a state before and frankly, I'm not completely sure things would be good but it was better than how it was. I wanted both of us to be able to stand up on our feet and for our parents to finally realize all of their mistakes, not just the ones they made with me.
"I'm sorry," Kurama murmured into my shoulder.
"For?" I questioned.
"All the means things I've ever said or done to you.. I was just jealous I guess.." the red headed pulled back, wiping the tears from his eyes before holding out his hand. "Want to start over?"
I smiled and took his hand. "I like that idea."
