I tried my best, walking through the halls to stay out of everyone's way but it seemed to me that all I could hear was my name spoken on other's lips. Those same lips poured words of hate or criticism about me, which came to no surprise. It seemed I got too caught up in listening to what other's were saying to notice Kiba gaining on me. Before I knew it, I was being slamming into a locker and a fist was being shoved into my gut. I coughed, I hadn't expected it and I was caught by surprise. I never fought back, I wouldn't get in trouble if I didn't fight back which would prevent issues at home.
After a punch to the face, I felt him being pulled off me, I looked to find Shikamaru with his arms hooked under Kiba's to pull him back just long enough for Sasuke to clock him right in the jaw.
I ran forward and grabbed Sasuke's hand to prevent him from landing another blow. "Sasuke, leave it," I told him sternly.
The raven's gaze turned to me, still in a glare. "But he hurt you," he muttered.
"Yeah, so what? I'm fine," I stated, offering him a smile to prove myself.
He seemed to visible relax but only at my smile, I knew that he didn't believe I was fine. He leaned towards me before kissing me gently. I kissed back and when he pulled back to look at Shika, he was gone along with Kiba.
