"Are you sure your sister won't mind that we didn't invite her?" The King asked as he motioned a worker to put a bouquet of flowers in the middle of the floor.

Blu Fairy shook her head. The King needed all the help he could get! Blu supposed that King Stefan usually left the party planning to his wife, but she wasn't in any condition to plan a party today. Not since she just gave birth and all.

"Pish Posh," Blu answered the flustered man's question. "Millie is off fighting for this Kingdom. She'll understand."

King Stefan nodded, "We appreciate all her hard work keeping the kingdom safe from demons."

"What's all this talk about demons when we have happier affairs to attend?" Blu asked.

"Indeed, we do." The King laughed.

"Now where is that precious baby?"

"The wife has forbidden me to look at her until after the fairy gifts are bestowed."

It was Blu's turn to laugh, "Oh, pish posh, of all people, I wouldn't have pegged the Queen to be superstitious."

Millie pulled her horse to a stop in front of a run-down cottage in the middle of the woods. She hobbled down from the carriage. A jail cart was attached to her wagon and her prisoner caused quite the commotion. He screamed and shook the bars all while calling Millie foul words that she didn't even know existed.

Millie hobbled out of the wagon and limped to the door dragging her half-attached arm behind her. The little demon brat bit her. Once she reached the stoop, she used her good arm to knock on the door.

"Please let there be help on the other side," Millie whispered, pinning hopes on the witch. For if the witch couldn't help her, Millie didn't know who could.

The guests were going to arrive at any moment. Blu and her six sisters scuttled around ensuring that everything was set up perfectly for the event. However, two of her sisters, Flora and Merriweather were arguing over the flower colors. Flora turned the flowers pink while Merriweather waved her wand turning them blue.

Blu sighed, her sisters would never agree. But she didn't let it bother her too much for Blu was far too excited to see the baby. Bestowing gifts on babies was her favorite job.

Earlier the seven fairies pulled matchsticks to see who would get to bestow the first and most important gift to the child. Pink won that honor.

"What gift do you plan on giving her?" Blu asked.

Her sister smiled, "I want to give her something profound. Something that will empower her."

"Beauty is always popular," Blu suggested. Pink scrunched her face in reply causing Blu to giggle.

"Women have more going for them than just their looks, thank you very much," Pink said hand on hip. "I want to give her intelligence or confidence."

"Of course, your right sis. I'm sure whatever you give her will be good."

The witch put a salve on Millie's arm. "You'll be better in no time." She said pointing a bony finger towards Millie. The woman dressed in black and had wrinkles on her wrinkles.

"What about my prisoner?" Millie asked. "Do you think you can get the demon out of him."

"Nope." The witch said.

"But he's just a boy there must be something that we can do."

"That ain't no boy. The witch said. That be a changeling."

Milly gasped causing the pain from the boy's bite to sear through her arm. "That's impossible," She said through gritted teeth. "His parents would have realized."

"Not if the midwife switched him at birth."

"Who would do something like that?"

"The Queen's midwife for starters."

Millie jumped to her feet and groaned. "I need to get to the castle before the Queen goes into labor."

"Child, know this, all changelings have a pinkish birthmark resembling a pitchfork on their shoulders and the most surefire way to get the original child back is to kill the changeling exactly on its fifth birthday."

A short time later, Millie unhooked the prison cart from her horse and raced towards Neverwood Kingdom.

Neverwood Castle

Pink finally got her chance to walk up to the baby's bassinet and give her a gift. She peered into the tiny crib and did a double. "Oh no she said, this won't do at all." Then she boomed, "I give the gift of beauty!"

The crowd clapped, and five more fairies walked towards the crib to give the baby a gift to fix the child's visible flaws. But before the last sister could give her gift the front doors flew open. Blu looked up and saw her sister Millie entering the room like a mad woman.

"Millie, I'm so glad you can make it." The King said with a bright smile.

"Yet you decided to throw this party without inviting me?"

"Your sister said you'd understand." The King said in a low voice, but Millie waved him off and walked towards the crib. The child within was beautiful with silky blond hair and red lips and cute little pink cheeks. None of the fairies probably blessed the child with any sort of intelligence by the looks of her. Millie reached into the crib and pulled a bit of the girl's gown down revealing the pitchfork birthmark on her shoulder. Millie closed her eyes wishing it could be different. "I give the gift of death. The child will prick her finger and die on her fifth birthday!"

Guards immediately grabbed Millie by the arms and started to remove her from the premises as a horrified Blu stood to give her final gift.

"It will be her fifteenth birthday and the child will merely fall asleep, only to be awoken by true love's kiss."

"No!" Millie shouted. "You don't know what you're doing." She struggled with the guards who kept a firm grip on her arms. "You don't know what you have done."
