A bright red colored light erupted from the ring and a key with red rubies appeared in front of me. Recalling what my sister did, I reached my hand out and grasped the golden key. I too stuck it up in the air and a red magic circle appeared around it with a padlock shape in the center. Turning the key in the padlock on the magic circle another light - this time red-orange color - enveloped me and I felt my clothes start melting away.
My hair turned a deep red-orange color with fiery colored tips. It grew from shoulder length to butt length and was pulled into a high ponytail with a thin braid running through each side of it. My hair was held in place by a gold ribbon and my eyes turned a golden hazel color. My simple school uniform transformed into a sort of witches dress. The main color was red with orange, gold, and ash gray accents. I had shin high boots that were ash gray and had red-orange laces going up them.
As I finished transforming and the light started to fade I felt like I knew what to say
"Hestia! Witch Of The Flame!" I called out in a confident tone of voice as I posed. As the light faded away completely, I stood there with this crazy outfit on and a large winged wolf was attacked my twin sister, Sylvia.
The wolf had her pinned against the wall of one of the buildings that surrounded us and I placed my hands over my mouth before letting out a silent gasp. I felt like I needed to help her somehow, but I had no idea how. All of a sudden a long staff appeared in my right hand after I let it fall to my side. As the staff finished appear I realized it was a scythe with a gold handle. I gripped it and my facial expression turned serious as I ran towards the wolf. I sliced at it's neck with the scythe blade as it moved to bite Sylvia. After it's head got cut off, it disappeared into a puff of smoke and a small crystal floated where it was standing.
I slowly moved towards the crystal and Sylvia as she sat down on the ground while breathing heavily. I crouched down next to her and looked at her with worry clear on my face. Sylvia had her eyes shut right as she tried to slow her breath down. I pulled her into a hug as I could've lost her to that monstrous wolf. Sylvia shot her eyes her eyes and she pushed me off of her before moving to stand up. I too stood up and started walking away from the scene before a quick light flashed as I was back into my school uniform and normal Looks.
"Don't forget the soul stone," I heard Sylvia mutter from ahead of me. I blinked for a moment in confusion before I remembered the crystal that floated out of the wolf after I killed it. So I turned back around and grabbed it, stuffing it in my pocket and hurrying on after Sylvia to school.
"So what happened back there?" I asked her some time later. We had been walking for a few blocks when Sylvia suddenly paused in front of me. I heard her sigh before turning around to face me. Her face was straight and emotionless as she stared deeply into my eyes.
"I've been gifted the powers of a Witch Girl to protect the lands from demonic creatures, such as the ones you saw earlier." Sylvia pauses for a moment before lowering her head some and turning back around. "And so have you," She added in a half whisper. My eyes widened at what she was saying and I couldn't believe that I would be chosen to fight anything let alone demons.
"B-But w-why?" I asked my voice coming out in a stutter as I spoke. My thoughts were racing as I tried to comprehend all that was happening here. Sylvia lifted her head back up and a gust of wind blew by at that moment making her dark chocolate brown hair flowed behind her as she stood there. Her gaze seemed to be focused on the sky above as we stood there in complete silence for a few moments.
"I don't know why," Sylvia started before sending me a short glance and then turned back around. "But once you transform, there's no going back," She added as I let what she had to say sink in. My eyes widened once more as I realized I must've transformed earlier which means I'm stuck fighting demons and other creatures like them!
"I-I can't fight though!" I stuttered out with fear contorting my face and shining brightly in my baby blue eyes. My sister didn't respond for and stayed silent before she moved to pick up my bag that I had dropped. Sylvia handed my bag and I numbly reached out for it and felt my fingers wrap around the handle.
"We better get to school," Sylvia said softly. Finally breaking her silence before she took off walking once again towards our middle and high school. I let out a sigh before following my twin sister down the street. I couldn't help but wonder why we were chosen for these powers and why can't we just give them back after we transform into whatever the heck we had turned into earlier.
As I walked along the sidewalk, my sister just steps ahead of me, I couldn't shake this feeling that something important was going to happen soon. Suddenly after we reached school we saw all of the students outside as a fire ravaged our school. Firefighters and paramedics were attending to the fire and any hurt students. Sylvia and I glanced at each other and then ran to find out friends and find out what happened.
Scanning the crowds for a few moments, I looked for my best friends Celeste and Talia. I finally spotted Talia's wildly dyed bright purple hair and ran towards her. I saw that Celeste wasn't with her and upon reaching her I saw that Talia was holding Celeste's blue denim jacket.
"Where's Celeste?" I asked in a puff of voice as I could barely speak due to being short of breath from the running I just did in search of them. Talia had tears in her eyes as she turned to face me and I silently prayed that Celeste was alright.
"She's getting checked out by a paramedic," Talia whispered and I pulled her into a hug as I knew this must've been very scary for her as well as me. Suddenly a loud boom echoed throughout the area and I could see the building collapse right in front of us.
A dark figure with black tattered wings flew out of the wreckage and moved towards the crowd of people gathered on the other side of where my school once stood. No one else seemed to see the figure, but as I felt a hand I My shoulder I quickly forgot about it and turned around to see my sister Sylvia standing behind me her face deeply contorted with determination and seriousness. She pulled me off to the side of the crowd and looked me in the eyes
"We need to follow it," She whispered to me and I blinked for a second before stepping backwards a step. My eyes probably held fear, confusion, and maybe even a little bit of excitement. Sylvia let out a soft sight before grabbing my hands
"We need to find and destroy that demon," She started before pausing for a moment to make sure we weren't being followed. "The one that came out of the school," She added once she saw my expression of confusion. We stopped at in another alley and she turned around to face me once again.
"Ready?" She asked me as she pressed her ring and her key appeared. I still was a little confused, but followed my sister's movements anyways.
"Not really," I muttered before we both grabbed our keys and moved to place them into the magic circle padlock and then added "but let's go!" And then we twisted them and waited for the bright light to envelop us.
