I'm just going to say it now. This is NOT a Humour (based) book. This is Teen Fiction and Romance. There will be humorous elements. But it's not the focus. So, of you came here expecting a book like Nerd Girl..
Just no.
This is written completely differently. More detail, more.. Details, more, dare I say it, indie. This is not like the books you find on the front page. This is not like the books that are shittily written and hold the top spot. Probably doesn't have a spot, knowing wattpad. But, it's not for the simple-minded. It's not for the followers.
I wrote this for the people who want something a little bit different. Something that they can easily lose themselves in, and hopefully find themselves in, too.
This is not a boy-meets-girl story. This is not a girl-cries-every-two-fucking-seconds story. There is no love triangle. There is no overly saturated image of sexy girls with legs as long as highways and stomachs as flat as cardboard. There are no blonde hair blue eyed stereotypes. There is no lonely girl falling for every jock and bad boy her watering eyes fall upon.
This is for the girls like me.
The girls like you.
The girls that listen to bands because they love them. Not because they have 72,923,192 followers on twitter. The girl who doesn't need a boyfriend. The girl who doesn't feel the need to follow trends or fit into stereotypes.
So, if you're looking for something along the lines of what has become the "norm" here. I welcome your exit.
I'm switching my shit up a bit.
With every chapter, there will be a song, or a quote, or a picture, that represents something. Be it to her, to me, or to you.
There will be bands a lot of you may or may not have heard of, hopefully you discover something new. I hope this book impacts you. In even the tiniest ways.
Writing it has impacted me greatly.
I look forward to presented Chasing Eden to you this fall.
