i can't recall the last time i took advice from anyone

"You remembered my name?" Eden's cheeks reddened at his name coming from her mouth.

"Yeah," Haven's cheeks were also red, although, hers were quite a few shades darker. "I did." She shoved a rebelious strand of crimsom hair behind her pink ear. Eden shifted awkwardly, Haven mentally slapping herself. "I'm sorry, would you like to sit down?"

"Uh, yeah." He chuckled at her flustered expression. Setting down his brown paper bag, he ripped it open, revealing two large slices of pizza, and a few packets of ranch. "Would you like a slice?" He lifted the pizza towards the the girl."I promise my hands are clean." He teased. She couldn't hold back a shy laugh as she took the slice from his large, slightly roughened hands. Mumbling a small 'Thank you'.

"You eat ranch with your pizza?"She nodded towards the white packets in his hands.

"Yeah," He began coating his pizza. "Why, do you?" His wide eyes held excitement.

"Oh, no," She scrunched up her nose. "That's just violating the purity of the pizza." She stated with slight disgust. Eden expression slowly changed from excited to offended, his slackened jaw reavealing the half-chewed mush, causing Haven to bark in laughter.

"Attractive." Came his sarcastic response

"Thanks. You too." She motioned to the ranch on the corners of his full mouth. "We're so hot."

"I know, right." He gulped his Monster. "Everybody wants our lumps." Haven laughed at the Adventure Time referrence, snorting in the process.

"Did you just snort?" Eden laughed, excitement back in his bright eyes.

"Oh my god." Came Haven's horrified response, clamping her hand over her mouth."I'm sorr-"

"That was adorable," He laughed again, his head tilting back and his shoulders shaking. "You snorted." He repeated with a grin, recovering slightly.

Trying to shrug off her blush -- without any luck -- she simply said, "You're a weird boy, you know that, Eden?"

"Why, thank you, Havie. You're a weird girl." He smiled genuinely.

"Here's to being weird, then." Haven raised her Rockstar, Clinking the tin against his Monster.

"Here's to being weird, Havie." Eden repeated.

"Wait, did you just call me Havie?"She frowned.

"Sure did, Havie." He said through a mouthful.

"Oh, Okay... Edy." She smirked, taking a swig of his Monster

"Edy??" He scrunched his nose. "That sounds like a girls' nickname. And don't drink after me. I'm a stranger." He warned.

"What's wrong with girls?" Haven arched a thick brow. "And you look like you don't have rotten teeth or gingavitis... So, It's okay."

"Well, nothing... Most of the time." He decided. "And you don't know where my mouth has been."

"I used to kiss my dog, and he licked his balls all day. You don't look flexible enough to lick your own balls, Ellie."

"What if I was licking someone else's! You could contract herpes, Havie." He exclaimed, finishing off the can.

"You're gay?" Havens heart stopped.

"Oh, no. Why?" He arched a brow."You interested?"

"Depends." She looked him up and down haughtily. "How much are washed up black boys going for nowadays?" She bit back.

"Racist!" Elliot exclaimed, pointing a finger across the table

"Wait, what?" Haven's eyes went wide as the realization of her words dawned on her. "Oh god! I'm so sorry! I swear to god I didn't mean it like that! I'm so so so so so sorr-"

Elliot interrupted her with a loud, obnouxious cackle, clutching his stomach as his cackling turned into wheezes and whispers of laughter. Haven stared at him in confusion, and slight fear, as he clapped his hands.

"Your face!" He gasped. "You look like little tomato! Aw!" He pinched her cheek.

"I hate you. Die." She glared.

"Nah. I can't harrass you if I'm dead." He snorted.

"Wow, know me for 10 minutes and you already have plans?" Haven shook her head. "Next, you're going to try to plant your seed within my soils."

"I don't even want to know what that means." He laughed.

"You don't need to." She assured.

"So, tell me." Eden began. "What chips did you end up getting?" He asked.

"None." She shrugged. "Got a couple pound to lose, ya know." She patted her stomach for effect. Haven wasn't the most insecure girl in the world, but she wasn't the most secure, either.

"I think you look beautiful just the way you are." Eden said genuinely. "You don't need to change anything."

"Thank you." She blushed. "That means a lot."

"I'm just speaking truth." He laughed that laugh Haven seemed to have developed an affliction for overnight.

"I love your laugh." She blurted. "It's so loud and real and.. Yeah sorry that was weird." She laughed nervously.

"I don't know what I'm saying."

"Thank you." Elliot's golden brown skin turned his blush a peachy-orange. "It annoys most." He grinned

"That must mean you laugh a lot." Haven smiled to herself. "And that's good. Really really good."

"You're something else, you know that?" Elliot chuckled.

"I may or may not have been told that once or twice in my lifetime." Haven smirked.

"I can only imagine." He shook his head.

"So h-" Haven sighed dejectedly as the bell rang and reluctant students alike shuffled in and out of the cafeteria like zombies.

"How about I walk you to class?" Eden offered, collecting his trash and Havens untouched tray, extending his free hand.

"Okay." She nodded, taking his hand before standing.

They soon found themselves reluctant to part in the middle of the crowned hallway of rushing students and ditching rebels.

"What are you doing after school?" Elliot asked shyly.

"The usual, laying in my bed, listening to music while have existential crisis'. You?" Haven replied, a bit sarcastically.

"Eating." He replied immediately.

"Oh, and that too." She agreed.

"Well.." He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, his orange blush returning to his cheeks. "can I have your number? I'd love to talk to you again." His blush deepened.

"I mean, you can say no. It's not a big deal. It won't be awkward or anything I mean y-"

"Give me your phone, idiot." Haven interrupted.

"Okay." Eden complied.

"I'll text you later." Haven assured him.

"I'll be waiting." He smiled as he continued down the emptying halls.

Laughing to herself, Haven shook her head, stepping into her Geometry class with a sigh.
