An Unexpected Encounter

Ye Xiu crossed the road surprisingly quickly to catch up to him. Tang Rou also ran across and Guo Guo had to follow the two.

"Hello! Hello! This is a coincidence! What are you doing here?! On vacation? Or do you actually have a house here? What luck to see you here?!"

"Why... are you talking like Shaotian?" Asked Wang Jiexi with a pained expression.

"Haha! Just happy to meet you so casually like this, that's all!"

By this time the two girls were also next to them and so Wang Jiexi tilted his head to acknowledge the two of them.

Guo Guo noticed that he was carrying a shopping bag in one hand with various groceries. But apparently she wasn't the only one.

"Shopping?! So you must be doing the cooking by yourself right?! Is your house close?!"

Ye Xiu's uncharacteristic constant chatter was almost like Shaotian's. It was making Guo Guo's head spin too.

But Tang Rou had seen through his intentions. There was only one thing this God cared about and that was Glory.

"Are you here on vacation?"

Wang Jiexi directly ignored Ye Xiu and asked Tang Rou.

"Yes. We are staying at the Seaside resort for a week."

"Resort?! It doesn't even have wifi!"

Ye Xiu added this quickly before Wang Jiexi could ignore him again. But the Tiny Herb Captain saw through his intentions quickly.

"No." He said firmly.

"You didn't even let me speak!"

"I have heard enough. Goodbye."

Guo Guo was silent the whole time because she had no idea what was happening but suddenly it dawned on her and she expressed her anger.

"SHAMELESS! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!"

Ye Xiu glanced helplessly at Wang Jiexi who also seemed a bit startled at her fierceness.

"My tyrant boss... Help a friend out!"

"Since when were we friends?"

"I didn't know about the summer event?! It's important for our teams development?! How else will we put up a fight against the great Tiny Herb?!"

Wang Jiexi continued to stare at him blankly but the corner of his mouth was twitching. Ye Xiu's predicament really was funny!

"Are you in a hurry to go?" Asked Tang Rou suddenly.

Wang Jiexi glanced quickly at the time.
"Well... I should get going. It's almost time for lunch."

"Oh... we are sorry to trouble you!"

Wang Jiexi waved at her as if it was no trouble at all and that random people harassing him for a wifi connection was a regular thing for him. But Ye Xiu clinged on mercilessly.

"Oh... you are late! Do you have anyone special waiting for you? I couldn't imagine you cooking anyway!"

"I should go."

Wang Jiexi tried to leave but Ye Xiu swiftly blocked him. Guo Guo was trying to drag him away with no effect.

"Come on Wang Jiexi! I'll pay for the Internet! You are getting so stingy! Besides it will be more fun for you to play if I'm an opponent!"

"I'm not doing the event."

:Oh? So you wouldn't mind us borrowing your system for a few hours right?"

Wang Jiexi faltered for a bit because he was really too surprised by his shamelessness. Ye Xiu was satisfied with this and quickly took initiative.

"All settled then! I'll help you with that bag Jiexi! Lead the way!"

"We are so sorry!"

Guo Guo finally managed to drag Ye Xiu away and directly apologised to him. It was really very embarrassing.

"No it's alright." Said Wang Jiexi suddenly "We can discuss this, but I'm in a hurry."

"We can come with you." replied Ye Xiu promptly.

"Of course... " Continued Wang Jiexi surprisingly unfazed "I invite you all for lunch."

Ye Xiu suddenly hesitated. He had seen a very calculating glint in Wang Jiexi's eye now. He was wary of his quick change of heart. But he had more pressing matters to attend to.

He's probably thinking he could use this opportunity to pull Little Tang in... Yes... that's why he accepted.

Consoling himself like this, Ye Xiu accepted the invitation.

They walked a bit further until they reached a pretty house with a lovely view of the sea. Though pro players always seemed to lack any other interests, Guo Guo had to admit Wang Jiexi had good sense when it came to finding a wonderful house.

"You must get excellent range here with no interference right?"
"Yes, of course."
"An ideal choice. As expected of a Tactician. "
"Thank you."

Guo Guo felt despair creeping up on her on hearing this conversation between the two Gods. Were any of these people ever normal?
