A Visitor

That evening they had a surprise visitor. The three guests were so busy playing that they barely heard the bell ring but Wang Jielin ran out of her bedroom to open the door.

"Hello Little Gao!"

"Hello Miss Wang."

"Don't call me that! Come on in!"

The three gamers looked up of course. They were more surprised at Wang Jielin's happy chatter than the visitor. Guo Guo noticed how she was chatting quite happily with him.

Gao Yingjie was a shy boy but he was very polite to her. He suddenly turned around and saw the three of them sitting there. Naturally he was quite surprised. He greeted all of them politely.

"Do you want to see my brother?"

"Yes...Captain asked me to meet him today."

"Wait a minute!"

Wang Jielin left to call her brother leaving Gao Yingjie to talk to the others.

"You know her?" Asked Guo Guo.

"I have talked to her before... when I met Captain."

Gao Yingjie fidgeted awkwardly. Meeting his Captain always made him nervous but seeing Ye Xiu also there made him more nervous.

Wang Jiexi came into the room then followed by his sister.

"Have you brought your card?"

"Yes Captain!"

"Good. Let's go to my room."

Wang Jiexi motioned towards his room and after giving a quick glance at Ye Xiu's and Tang Rou's progress, he left.

Gao Yingjie was about to follow behind when Wang Jielin tapped him on his shoulder.

"Glory?"

"Yes..."

"Why do you want to train during your vacation too? Why do you put so much effort into it? "

"I... I'm not busy with anything else."

"Ok."

Tang Rou was playing quite diligently. Once the boss was killed, they could kill extra monsters for more points.

But still she noticed how quickly Wang Jielin had switched off when she heard the word Glory.

Can a player who had played Glory and made it to the Heavenly Domain and even had a brother like Wang Jiexi to help her out still end up hating Glory so much?

That night they were invited to stay for dinner. Wang Jielin was surprisingly very chatty especially with Gao Yingjie. He talked awkwardly for a few minutes but when he noticed how Wang Jiexi wasn't interfering either as a Captain or a brother he started speaking more freely.

Guo Guo listened to their conversation hoping to pick up any clues on her behaviour but apparently Gao Yingjie knew about her dislike for the game too because they talked about neutral topics.

Wang Jielin talked about clothes, food and general gossip. Gao Yingjie being the kind boy he was responded to her though he had no idea what she was talking about.

Wang Jiexi on the other hand was deep in conversation with Tang Rou! Ye Xiu listened casually to their conversation but said nothing. Wang Jiexi had asked her what was it she liked about the game.

Tang Rou was responding politely as usual, but Ye Xiu understood that Wang Jiexi being a professional was probably trying to gauge her sincerity, the same thing he had done the last time they talked.

After dinner the three of them along with Gao Yingjie said their goodbyes and left. Little Gao was staying at a hotel nearby and he soon left their company.

"So... Little Tang... What was Wang Jiexi talking to you about?" Asked Guo Guo.

"He was probably trying to pull her in... as usual... " Said Ye Xiu.

Tang Rou smiled but said nothing.

"The event ends tomorrow and after that we are going to enjoy a normal vacation... Ok?!"

Tang Rou and Ye Xiu knew that this was more of a command than a question and so nodded fervently.
