The Next Avatar: Tia The Earthbender

Chapter One: Backtrack

POV: Asami, Mako, Bolin.

     "I'm starting to think well never find the Avatar! " Bolin screams so loud that Asami and Mako can hear him through the passing wind. They were riding Korra's bison, now belonging to Asami since her passing away. Asami stayed quiet so Mako spoke, "Its only been 4 years since we started looking, give it some time!"

        When Korra passed away, Asami was hit the most. Being together so long and then just leaving, it didn't make sense to her. She had locked herself in her house for 2 years and is still taking to leave. "Should we land Paka, I think she's getting tired!" When Mako herd about Korra he cried. He cried for the first time since his own parents passing. He couldn't breathe, so much so he passed out and was sent to the hospital. He stayed there for 3 days and never once stopped to brush a tear from his face. On the second day, he ran out of tears, then was kept one more day for safety. The next day he resigned from the police force and hasn't been to a station again. "Asami, land by that farm right there!" Bolin was wrecked when he found out. He didn't cry, he didn't lock himself up, he just stopped. He stopped talking, he stopped working, he shut down. Opal couldn't even get him to talk. Asami yanked on the pulls and landed Paka. They were heading to the to the big city of Ba Sing Se for an earthbender championship. Mako set up a fire, Bolin set of the tent and Asami prepared food for the group. After dinner, they went to bed without saying a word.

POV: Tia 

      "Is that all you got?!" Tia was shouting, she was hyped. It was semi-finals, if she won this round she would be in the championship.  She knew she was going to win, her opponent, a taller man with broad shoulders and a well build body, with very good technique, but not good enough for her. Tia hit the ground with her foot and a rock flew into the air, she hit it with her other foot with a spin. The man went flying across the circled arena, sink in the rock. "AND THE WINNER IS TIA JADE, NOW ADVANCING TO EARTH KINGDOM CHAMPIONSHIP!" The ref held up her hand. She didn't freak out, it was an easy win.  "Hey, good win, I've never been beaten like that. People said you were tough but I never knew what they meant till I faced you." Tia turned around, it was the man she went up against. " And you're the first woman in the league that's pretty cool, my names Ziroh." 

      Tia went to speak then he took off he helmet and she was dumbstruck.  He had shaggy black hair and sparkling eyes. "And your name is?" Tia felt her face burning up, she took off her helmet, "Oh, s-sorry my name is Tia if you didn't hear. I mean n-no offense, you were a great fighter, um no I mean yo-" She was cut by his voice. "I get it, its fine." There was an awkward moment of silence. She went to speak but he started, " Hey this might be a little random, but since you won, how about I take you to dinner?" " I would love-" Tia's armadillo-lion jumped on her and started licking her face. " Teniki, blah, get off me." Ziroh smiled and made a little laugh. " I'll take that as a yes." Tia got Teniki off of her. "Oh wait, where would we go?" Tia took a step closer to him. He then realized how she looked. She was short and had muscle. Her short brown hair matched her eyes. "Umm, w-we could go to the Jasmine Dragon"  Tia opened her mouth but was stunned again by his face. She finally spat out words. " Ok, I'll meet you there after the championship at 10." He said goodbye and turned to walk out. Tia went home that night feeling better than ever.
