"Hey Rex!" We wave at the security guard at the door as we make our way across the street to the club.
He gave us a small nod before letting us in, as we tried to ignore the aggravated comments of those in the long line waiting to come inside.
The music was loud and pounding in my ears, making me slightly regret my hasty decision. It had been months since we've been back here.
"Let's go get some drinks!" I yell over the music as Jessie nods her head in agreement.
We squeeze our way in through the sticky bodies till we are able to make it to the bar.
"Hey, can we get two tequila shots?" Jessie ordered while I looked out into the crowd.
There were some familiar faces from people in my classes.
"Two tequila shots" I turn around to be faced with Xavier.
He was the bartender.
"Wow. Didn't even recognize you there Elpída." He says as he poured the last shot.
I give him a strained smile before downing my shot.
Great, I came here to get his face out of my mind and here he is.
"Aren't you gorgeous" I look to my side to see a man slightly older leaning beside me.
I lean into his ear.
"I'm even more gorgeous when I'm drunk" I lie.
"Give these beautiful girls two more shots" he smirks.
I look over at Xavier who holds a bored expression as he serves us new shots.
"Oh I freaking love you" Jessie lets out as we take our new shots.
"I'm definitely not screwing him so lets go dance where he can see." I lean over into Jessie so the man doesn't hear, but we get a small chuckle from Xavier.
I guess he heard what I said.
"Watch us." I wink at the man as I grab Jessies hand and we join the floor with everyone else and begin to dance together.
Ladies, this is how you get your, wayover priced drinks, paid for.
Soon enough we feel guys come behind us. We look back.
Jessie has quite the attractive guy behind her.... but not I.
The guy genuinely looks creepy.
I quickly move away.
"Oh don't be like that sweet face." I look at the guy in disgust at his comment.
"No, thank you." I glare at him as he pushes me and then tries to make his way else where.
"Don't put your hands on her." I look to see Xavier at my side, his jaw clenched with an angry expression.
He makes some hand gestures to the side, when Jessie and I look, we see two security guards heading our way.
"Him. Out." Ordered Xavier before turning around and heading right back into the bar and serving drinks.
The security grip up the man and begin to drag him out as he curses at me and Xavier.
"You know what... maybe this was a bad idea" I look over at Jessie as she nods her head in agreement.
"Chick-fil-a?" She nods her head again in agreement as we make our way out of the club.
"See you Rex!" We wave at Rex as he tips his head forward slightly at us.
We quickly cross the street and make our way to the parking lot.
