"Okay, I've got an idea figured out."

Beck looked up at Percy. She'd expected him to be alone, but there were several people standing behind him.

"I'll see you later, babe." Michael kissed her cheek, then got up and walked off. Percy chuckled the tiniest bit.

Beck hauled herself to her feet and crossed her arms. "Alright, what's your idea?"

"Okay, so we go out in the forest-"

"That's a generally dangerous and unsettling phrase." She smirked a little.

Annabeth snorted loudly.

Percy waved her off. "Do you want to hear my idea or not?"

Beck made a 'go ahead' gesture and he nodded.

"We're not going alone, obviously, I brought the cavalry. Jason, Piper, Annabeth, and Hazel are all coming with us to fight off any monsters that might show up. And Hazel can always mend any serious damage you might cause."

"That's a great plan, actually." Beck grinned. "I can get behind that. No water involved."

"No water involved." Percy promised.

"Alright. I've just got to get my sword."

"We're practicing with your powers-"

Beck rolled her eyes. "If there's a monster attack I'm not going to just sit there and let the others defend me."

Percy nodded. "That's fair."

She jogged off to the cabin, grabbing her sword and sword-belt. Michael waved to her from the circle of excited children he was standing by, then he tossed a knife over his shoulder at an archery target. The kids oohed and aahed, making Beck muffle a laugh.

Percy and the others were already walking towards the forest, so Beck chose a path that would meet up with theirs at the treeline.

Piper was waving her hands around excitedly as she talked, and Annabeth was laughing loudly. Percy snorted and nudged Jason, who was very red in the face and trying to get Piper to shut up.

"Looks like I missed out on some juicy family gossip." Beck commented as she caught up with them, stepping into the shade of the forest.

"Piper was just talking about the time Jason-"

"Shut up!"

Piper skirted the group, wrapping one arm around Beck's shoulders and whispering in her ear. "He lost his glasses and I told him I'd help find them for ten dollars. They were on his head."

Beck snorted loudly and Jason groaned. "Pipeeeeeeeeer why are you ruining my life?"

"Because we're dating and therefore it's my job. Letting me into your life was the worst decision you could have maaaaaade!"

"Great take on our relationship." Jason rolled his eyes. The others chuckled just enough for Beck to know this was an inside joke or something.

"I'm thinking somewhere near Zeus's Fist." Percy spoke up, looking around. "It's a got a lot of rocks, extra dirt and all of that stuff."

"Extra fodder." Hazel nodded, smiling.

"I'll take your word for it." Beck nodded, crossing her arms. She hadn't anticipated how cold it was going to be in the shade.

Piper had wandered back over to Jason, and she suddenly hopped up on his back. He yelped in surprise, but caught her in a piggy-back stance.

"Man, if Annabeth did that to me I'd probably drop her." Percy chuckled.

"Are you saying I'm fat?" Annabeth asked, faking offense.

"No I'm saying I'm clumsy."

"No you're not." Beck snorted. "You just don't pay attention to your surroundings. If you had your eyes on something other than your girlfriend you wouldn't trip over everything."

"Roasted." Piper snickered. Jason shook his head, grinning.

Percy narrowed his eyes at Beck and she smirked at him.

"Welcome to the life of being the oldest sibling, Seaweed Brain." Annabeth patted his shoulder. "It never goes away."

Percy grunted, crossing his arms. "I could always just leave her out here to figure things out for herself." He said to Annabeth conversationally.

"She is right here, Shells-For-Brains." Beck pointed out.

"That's a new one." Hazel raised her eyebrows.

"Well I can't say Kelp-For-Brains, that doesn't take into account how hard his head is."

"Roasted!" Piper shouted again, laughing.

"I'm gonna kill you, Gibbson." Percy told her conversationally. "I'll get you in your sleep, and it'll look like an accident."

"Except it won't, because there's all these witnesses." Beck smiled sweetly.

"She's got a point, Seaweed Brain." Annabeth chuckled.

Percy rolled his eyes. "I'm officially done with all of you."

"Are you though?" Jason asked with a grin, turning to walk backwards with Piper still on his shoulders. She smacked him lightly on top of the head.

"If you trip on something and I get my skull cracked open then Beck won't be the one dying in her sleep, Sparky."
