there wasn't supposed to be an epilogue, but why not
-
i swiftly moved my legs towards the old playground, the place where we met. i sat on one of the swings, the one that i sat on while chatting with her.
i looked to my right, looking at the empty seat. “god, i really miss you.” i smiled bitterly at the sight of her also looking at me.
i swiped my hair to the back, “it was long time ago, and i'm now an idol. you said to never forget you when i did it. i didn't forget you, i remember everything about you.” i spoke, as if i'm talking to her.
hot tears started to stream down my face, “i.. really missed you,” i looked to the ground, letting my tears fall off my faces. “(your name)..”
i wiped the tears with my sleeve, “hey, (your name), you always said to me to be confident and love myself. and so i did, and i've never felt better before.”
“hi, fudo!” (your name) greeted with a big smile. i smiled back in response.
i gripped the tiny box tightly in my hoodie pocket, “hey, let's hang out at the playground.”
she nodded her head, and we proceed to walk to the playground with a bit of chatting on the way.
i sat on the usual seat of the swings, and she sat next to me.
“so, what's up?” she asked, looking at me with her heavenly (your eye colour). i got lost in her eyes.
a finger snap brings me to reality, “what are you staring at me for?” she asked, furrowing her eyebrows.
i looked at my one hand in my pocket, deciding to give it to her now or not.
i let out a big sigh, and quickly shoves the tiny box to her, causing her to flinch and a bit taken back.
nonetheless, she took the crimson coloured box and slowly opens it.
she let out the biggest gasp, cupping her mouth in shock. “no,” she shortly said, taking out the necklace from the box.
i felt anxious, and even wanting to die at this point. what if she doesn't like it? what if she hates it? what if she doesn't want to be my friend anymore? what if she faked a smile and threw it behind my back? what if—
“oh my god, fudo! thank you so much, i-i don't know what to say right now.” her words snapped me out of my endless thoughts.
i played with my fingers, “did you.. did you like it?” i asked, blushing really hard right now.
“like it? fudo, i love it!” she answered my question in instant, hugging me, which caught me off guard.
i smiled in relief, glad that she loved it. i returned the hug, patting her back several times.
she pulled away first, and i can see some tears visible at her eyes and cheeks.
“what? why are you crying?” i asked, quickly wiping her tears with my hand. she sniffled, slowly removing my hand away from her face.
she let out a chuckle, “i am in awe right now, fudo. you bought so many things for me, i-i can't help but cry.” she said while wiping her wet eyes with her hand.
“thank you so much.” she said before planting a kiss on my cheek, causing my face becoming really red.
but i'm not the only one that are red, a tint of pink is planted on across her cheeks.
i wanted to meet you again, but it's impossible.
“hey, can i sit here?”
i looked to my side, and if it's not realistic, my eyes would pop out of its socket right now.
there i saw her, standing with a lollipop in her mouth while looking at me for my approval.
“(your name)?”
