Prologue
While I packed for this new family and our new town, well city really. I was moving with my knew family that had recently adopted me. I am LJ Unknown and I am 16 years old. I am majorly into the dark and scary stuff that normal people are scared of, and yes I called the rest of the people around me normal. I mean..why wouldnt I?
"LJ, hurry up! The family is here to pick ya up!" The homes people yelled from the lobby area.
"I'll be down in a minute! Just need to pack one more item!" I yelled from the room I am in. I quickly grabbed my books on all mythical creatures and shoved it into my bag. I put the bags strap on my right shoulder and ran out of the room as well as down the stairs.
"Ah, LJ, glad to finally take ya home with us." My new step father said as he pulled me into a hug. I slightly stiffened due to the fact I wasnt used to hugs at all. I forced myself to hug back though.
"Yea, I am so glad to finally have a family that truly seems to care about me." I said with a smile then frowned knowing that the homes people will warn the family, once again, about my freakishness.
"Now we must at least let you know Mr. and Mrs. Light. LJ here has had the name of Unknown since she was dropped off here when she was just a baby. She also has weird obsessions with mythical creatures and other stuff that most girls are scared of." The head of the home said. My step parents nodded as if they would fully understand.
