EXO's Chanyeol, who was previously in talks, has now been confirmed to make his movie debut in 'Jangsu Shop' (working title; previously known as 'The Last First Love')!

According to CJ Entertainment on the 19th, Chanyeol will join Park Geun Hyung, Yoon Yeo Jung, Jo Jin Woong, Han Ji Min, Hwang Woo Seul Hye, and Moon Ga Young for the upcoming movie directed by Kang Jae Kyu.

Chanyeol will play the role of Min Sung, the boyfriend of a small market owner Jang Su (Jo Jin Woong)'s daughter Ah Young (Moon Ga Young). The movie centers around an elderly romance between Sung Chil (Park Geun Hyung) and Geum Nim (Yoon Yeo Jung), and portrays warm family values.

The cast and staff are set to enter crank-in later this month!

On June 27, movie insiders revealed that Chanyeol was offered a role in the film 'The Last First Love' (tentative title) to be directed by Kang Je Kyu, who's worked on hit films such as 'Shiri' and 'Taegukgi'. A rep from SM Entertainment then confirmed that the EXO-K member was indeed reviewing the offer in a positive light.

Chanyeol's debut acting role in 'The Last First Love' would be the part of an innocent high school student in the story that revolves around an elderly couple's romance and their family.

Filming is expected to begin in August, so stay tuned for updates!
