"Andromeda, are you still listing?" I opened my eyes to find a large man holding me in his arms.
"Where am I?" He laughed.
"You say the strangest things."
"I wish to change clothing." He pulled away from me and looked down.
"Are you okay? Was it something I said? Please tell me and I'll never do it again." I touched his face, brush away some stray black hair. Andromeda was so lucky to have someone care for him so deeply.
"I'm fine." He ran his fingers through his hair once more before getting up. I rolled over to where he was and watched him fumble around.
"Shit! I thought I had some of your old clothes." He turned around to face me. "I'll be right back." He kissed my lips so tenderly that it hurt when he pulled away. "Don't move." I was tempted to follow his orders but I had to act fast. The danger I was feeling was getting stronger. My children won't be able to save this vessel this time. I crawled to the edge of the bed and tried my legs.
"A bit wobbly but good." I took a deep breath and tried walking. The cloth shirt felt wrong and the boxers barely cling to my waist. I decided to strip out of the oversized clothes.
"Hey, love, I couldn't find any so I ran next door to-" He choked on his words, "Who are you." His gaze looked me up and down.
"What do you mean?" I looked at him confused trying to pretend to be Andromeda.
"You are not Andromeda." He narrowed his eyes at me. "Who are you." I laughed but he was adamant that I wasn't his mate.
"My name is-"
"I don't give a fuck what your name is."
"You might if you want to know who I am." He crossed the room and slapped my face.
"What did you do to Andromeda!" I touched the red handprint in surprise, I had complete control over this body and this imbecile was threatening and hitting me.
"My things have changed." I smiled at his bewilderment but tried the hurt little girl act again. "I thought you were supposed to protect me."
"Well, little bitch I don't know who you are but I will never help you."
"How can you just hit me?" I thought mates were supposed to be all about the other no matter what. Many things have changed since I was last seen on this dying planet.
"What did you do with Andromeda?" He wasn't buying my lie and if I was a betting man I would wager that he would not hesitate to kill me if he felt threatened in any way. Time to go with a more tactical route.
"You just damaged your mate's body and your only question is 'who am I'?"
"What!" I smiled at him, confusion on the battlefield is what gets you killed.
"That's right mother fucker, my name is Aeonian and I'm in charge of Andromeda's body now." Know all the game pieces before you start playing with me.
"Impossible! You can't..." Something in his eyes softened as if he was coming to some type of concussion. "You can." I watched as he was having his own convention in his head. It reminded me of when I would talk to Andromeda, but could it? A tear fell down his face as both of us understood what was happening. I wanted to embrace him as my memories came flooding to me, cheers of joy filled my soul as my thoughts caught up with me but the moment will have to wait just like he did for me for more than 8,000 years.
"I'm known as the Creator. There is danger coming this way. We need to hurry." I kept my sentences short and to the point, afraid what anymore would do to the other.
