Tanner
"Are you even listening to me?" Natalie asks, watching as my thumbs tap away at the screen.
"No. I'm sorry, Nat. But me and Daniel have been texting for like 3 hours now and he is just so funny!" I smile. She rolls her eyes at me.
"Love struck," She says through a fake cough. I roll my eyes at her.
"I barely know the guy," I protest.
"But you are totally hoping he'll ask you to Hoco?" She asks. I shrug.
"As I said before, we barely know each other and Homecoming is in like 2 weeks," I sigh.
"So you have 2 weeks to get to know each other," She smiles.
"Oh Natalie, so much hope so little reason," I laugh. She rolls her eyes at my comment.
"Can we practice for the play now?" She asks. I nod.
"What part are you going for?" She asks me.
"Elle," I tell her. It was a big shot, shy girl as the lead. But I'm pretty confident I could do it.
"You'd make a good blonde," She smiles. "But the real question is: will you be able to sing in front of everyone?" She asks.
"I think so. I mean, you always say I'm really good and I'm confident," I tell her. She nods.
"I'm glad. I'm probably try out for Paulette than so I could be your best friend," She smiles. I nod and pull out the audition sample for 'Legally Blonde'.
We're about to start practicing when my phone buzzes again.
Daniel: Been thinking about trying out for Emmett in the play. Opinion?
Tanner: I'm trying out for Elle, lol. You should go for it! I'd love to work with you.
Daniel: I'll pick up the audition sample tomorrow. Thanks!
"Daniel's gonna try out for Emmett," I whisper. Natalie smiles at me.
"There's a kiss between Elle and Emmett," She smiles. I nod.
"I know," I tell her.
Me and Daniel kissing? In front of the whole school? Is that even a good idea?
