We were laying on the floor of the shop playing the question game, we didn't really have anything else to do and neither of us wanted to go back to sleep. The flashlight was placed between us on the floor, pointing to the roof. It wasn't that much light but at least we could see eachother. I liked looking at Michael, he had a nice smile. I learned that Michael was a senior in high school, was an only child, played the guitar and that we shared a lot of favorite bands.

"Dimples, you're up! Ask me something." I blushed at the nickname. "U-um, are you close with your folks?" I asked the only thing I could think of. "Not really, they are always on business trips and stuff." Now I felt bad for asking. "Oh, I'm sorry.. I shouldn't have brought it up..." I muttered. Stupid. "No, It's okay. I don't really care", Michael looked at me with a smile and I returned it. "Your turn" I said, trying to change the obvious sensitve topic. Michael looked around with a thinking face, then turned to me, grinned and asked "do you like girls or guys?"

It started hurting in my head and my heart and my chest, and I had trouble catching my breath. Why was he asking me that? Was it to make fun of me? Oh God, was he a homophobic? I hate those people. I looked around to escape.
