I walked around the video shop, stacking DVD's and watching the rain pour down outside in the dark streets of Sydney. The store was empty, I had almost no costumers today. Like always.
I was about to close the shop when a guy ran inside soaking wet, making the floors wet as well. Great, now I had to clean that up. The guy spoke up, "I'm sorry mate, no umbrella". I muttered an irritated "no shit" under my breath. He had blue hair, pale skin, some earrings and an eyebrow piercing. His body was tall and skinny and he wore black skinny jeans and now a see through white band t-shirt. "Um, my name is Michael", he must have noticed I was staring. Buggers. "Uh, hey. I'm Ashton" I said shaking his wet and cold hand.
There was an awkward silence for about thirty seconds, he was about to say something but then it went dark. Are you kidding me? A blackout? "Fuck", Michael said. "My thoughts exactly".
"Uh, so what do we do?" Michael asked. "I have no clue, the doors have electric locks so we're pretty much stuck in here. Do you have a cell phone?", "no, I left it in the car" he said. "Well, mine is out of power" I groaned. "So what the fuck do we do?" he almost screamed, I couldn't really see him so I was pretty damn terrified. "I-I don't know..". "Do you have a flash light or something?" He asked. "Y-yeah.." Damn, my stutter is coming back. I tried finding my way to the counter and then searched the drawers, I found one. Thank God. I turned it on, seeing him right in front of me. I let out a small scream, that sounded way too much like a girls. Damn. "I'm not that scary, am I?" He laughed. I gave him a light smile and sat down. He sat down next to me. It was silent.
