"Markus!" Simon tried sounding firm but his voice remained shaky. Still nothing. Markus really did need standby time after all. The feeling became more intense and it made Simon want to start crying, but for what? Simon was starting to get aggravated so he tried to push Markus off his lap which ended up taking Simon with him causing him to fall on top of Markus. He realized he was still holding on to Markus' hand.

It all started to make sense. Simon looked back down at Markus and Simon's interlocked fingers. They were interfacing. This is what Markus is feeling. Simon let go of Markus' hand and the feeling faded, but he didn't what Markus feeling it either.
Simon started shaking him roughly yet gently. Markus was completely unconscious and nothing seemed to work. "You're so stubborn! C'mon!" It took a lot of Simon's energy, but after awhile of shaking him Markus eventually activated. His eyes started to flutter open and Simon sighed in relief. He breathed heavily and faceplanted into Markus chest.

"Thank rA9.." Simon mumbled. "Uh-Simon-"

"Shut up. Just.. give me a second." Simon was a mixture of worried, scared, and tired all at once. It took him a couple of seconds to regain some energy back. He lifted his head from Markus' chest. "You... are.. horrible." Simon said slowly. Markus raised his eyebrows. "What happened..?" Simon gave Markus a death stare. He sighed and continued. "Can you just.. stop.. being stressed out all the time?"

"I'm not sure what you mean.." Markus replied. At some point, Markus was going to send Simon to the brink of deactivation. "And I wasn't asking what happened to me. I was asking what happened to you." Simon was hesitant to answer but figured he'd just give a short one. "You. You happened to me."

"Gee, thanks.." Markus said sarcastically. They were silent for awhile. None of them knew what to say. But reality soon checked in with Simon. "So.. I guess I'll just be getting off of you now.." Simon started to get up but Markus grabbed his hand and pulled him back down under him. Simon led out a small gasp as this happened. Markus wrapped Simon in a hug. "Thank you." Simon could feel the sincerity in his voice. He wanted to speak but no words could make their way out. He was speechless as some would say. "What were you.." Simon stopped. He didn't want to finish the question but Markus knew what he was asking.

"It was Carl." Simon didn't say anything. He didn't want to make the situation worse by saying something dumb so he resided on saying nothing at all. He started to feel a weird sensation on the back of his head. It felt tingly, like someone was playing with his hair. Simon knew on a normal day, he would call him out, but considering the circumstances he figured he would let it slide just this once. Markus' hand started moving its way downward which made Simon's anxiety spike. He started to poke his back which made Simon twitch.

Markus knew how ticklish Simon was and he loved using it against him. "M-markus!" He continued to poke and rub his back. "Stop!" Simon demanded in a half lighthearted cheerful tone and the other half strict and cold. "Aww, c'mon Simon! Some poking never killed anyone." He coed. "This is not fair!" He cried childishly. Markus hated teasing people, he didn't like those who did but when he's with Simon, that's all he ever knows how to do. "Your lucky North isn't here." Markus stopped poking at Simon's back. "And why is that?"

"Because.." Simon stopped. "Because she wouldn't have let you go into standby in the same room as me if we were at Jericho." Markus smiles. "That hurts, Simon. I really can't understand why you wouldn't want to be in the same room as me." Markus lets out a exaggerated sigh. "Can you please tell me why?" Simon rolls his eyes. "Cause you're always doing stuff like 'this'."

"What's 'stuff like this'? Is it the poking? The hugging? The lap sleeping? The kissing? Please tell me." He could go on and on and Simon knew that. He just didn't know how he felt about it. Simon lifted Markus' head and looked at him intently. "You know what I mean, Markus." Simon began pushing Markus' body weight but Markus grabbed him by his collar and pulled him into a kiss.

It was weird for Simon. One second he had his hand on Markus' wrist, trying I pull it away and the next he kinda just eased into it. Simon knew what he was doing was wrong. I mean wasn't it? Something in Simon knew he didn't want this but for some reason his body was saying otherwise. Yes he complied the last time this happened but that was different. He didn't know what to think and because of that he allowed himself to become completely vulnerable to Markus.

He was confused and yet still made no effort to stop whatever was now happening. He wanted to but couldn't. He was yelling at himself to do something, anything. But his body would not comply. Simon soon began crying. He was lightly sobbing in between kisses and Markus noticed it. "Simon? Hey, what's wrong?" Markus cupped his face and wiped his tears lightly with his thumb. But that didn't stop them from pouring out. "I'm sorry." Simon could just barely be heard. "I'm just-" Markus sat Simon up and hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry.." Simon said once more. Minutes passed like this.
Markus hugging Simon so tight and Simon doing the same. "I didn't mean to-" Markus gulped. "I know Markus. It wasn't your fault.." Markus sighed. More silence.

"You know how I feel about you Simon, don't you?" Simon didn't respond. He didn't know how to. "I really like you, and it's... hard... to control myself.." Simon buried his face into Markus' shoulder, signaling him to just stop talking.
