When ordinary kids start turning into super-powered heroes, they must go somewhere safe to learn and use their new found powers responsibly. However, for every person who wants to train and protect them, someone wants them dead.
A woman sits beside a hospital bed, sobbing into the sheets. She lifts her head and rests her sleep deprived eyes on her son. "Miles..."
[MILES VOICEOVER: "My name is Miles Martyson. I laid in that hospital bed for months, comatose. There was no hope for my survival. But then something odd happened. I woke up."]
The boy laying in the bed, Miles, sat up quickly. Sweat ran down his face. He gasped over and over again, trying to regain his breath. His eyes were wide, a mixture of confusion and surprise.
[MILES: "And so I went back to my life. Like nothing had ever happened."]
Miles walks down the school halls, avoiding attention and keeping his head down. A buff kid walks by and shoves him. Miles slams into the locker and the books that were tucked under his arm dropped.
[MILES: "What I soon realized was that things did change."]
Miles punches the bully with an unearthly strength. The bully flies back down the hall. Miles looks down at his fist, wondering what just happened.
[MILES: "More than I ever would have imagined."]

All the soliders fall to their knees before a shot can get off, revealing a teenage girl with her arm sticking out.

A boy with blonde hair winks and disappears from a dark room. He reappears, moments later, on the other side of the room.
Pain! Oh, let the bullets fly, oh, let them rain
A dark-haired boy jumps off a building and slowly starts to grow. He grows scales, his limbs morphing. Then he starts to fly back up. He opens his new mouth and fire is released. He is now a full-sized dragon.

A girl kneels beside a dead flower in a green field. She closes her eyes and the flower starts to grow, it's color returning. And then it's not dead anymore. It's just as much alive as all the other plants in the field.

Miles stands, his hands resting on a boulder as big as him. He takes a deep breath and lifts the giant, thousand pound boulder over his head. He exhales and throws the boulder as hard as he can.
The music stops.
Miles looks around. A boy, a girl, and a middle-aged man stood around him, watching.
"So, who are you guys?" Miles asks cautiously. "And where am I?"
