The compound was huge, like the White House but on steroids. The whole area seemed to be surrounded by a massive forest, preventing anyone from looking in. This seemed fitting, considering this place was a mafia hang out spot. Loads of illegal stuff probably happen here every day. But after about 20 minutes of driving, there was an opening and you were greeted by tall gates.

Sid whispered to the guard after he rolled the window down, he hadn't spoken to Sydney since she asked about Edward which confused her. Everything confused her. The whole Edward situation confused her, she was still doubtful if he was still alive or not. She hopes with all her heart that he is because right now he's the only thing keeping her going.

Edward was something else from the moment she met him, there was something special going on with him. He was older than her and treated her with respect when not many other people did. They met through her dad and they started a friendship, an easy fun friendship. He would always have time for her and she would too. He made her smile until it hurt and laugh until no sound came out. She fell in love with him and still loves him. He was her friend and things were easier then. But it's different now.

It changed after that dreadful night, he didn't look at her the same. Their friendship was no longer fun and careless. It had changed. Now, walls were put up and they barely spoke. They went back to being strangers.

Sydney still thinks that is down to her father, her parents didn't like Edward, María loved him. María said she liked how happy Sydney was when around him. Edward made Sydney feel alive and gave her confidence, that didn't sit well with her parents who liked Sydney to feel isolated and alone. Edward made her want to do good and tell others of her past struggles, her parents wanted her to look pretty and be silent. One day, they got what they wanted, Edward didn't visit or answer her calls, he was gone and she saw him once or twice a year.

He's was still important to her though, he was the first person to ever truly break her heart but the love she once had for him, will always be there. He saved her once, it's time to return the favour.

The limousine slowly drives through the gates and into the main security part. Massive gates block the outside from seeing and security cameras are at every corner, watching her. Sid types in a pin into a pad and the gates open once again.

Sid gets out of the limousine and walks towards a man sat down behind his desk.

The man looks incredibly serious which Sydney presumes as normal, seeing his job is to guard a mafia compound. They talk for a couple of seconds and Sid walks back towards Sydney. He opens her door and gestures her to follow. She does.

"Sydney, this is Jeremy, he's going to get you to sign some papers before you enter."

"Papers? No, I'm not signing anything."

"Sydney, do I need to remind you who's life is at risk?" There's a pause. "Sign the papers. And I wouldn't bother reading it, it will just make you worried about things that you can't control."

"Thanks for the tip." Sydney says through gritted teeth and she picks up a pen.

"Just sign here."

"Done."

"Okay, you're allowed to enter. You going to show her around Sid?"

"Yeah, but she needs to meet the man in charge yet."

"Okay, well see you later on."

"Yeah, come on Sydney, time to meet the family." He start to walk toward the back and enters another pin into a door and holds it open for her.

"Family?"

"Well you didn't think there was one person did you?"
