I drummed my fingers on the table impatiently. Why am I even here? Why am I spending my free time, my rest day away from training, waiting for a girl I don’t even know? I have no idea as to how my teammates got me to agree to this set-up.

I’m feeling nervous. I’m having the urge to get up from my seat and just walk out of this place. Besides, it’s been almost half an hour and she’s not yet here. Five more minutes and I’m definitely leaving this place. I really can’t stand people with that kind of attitude. Don’t they know that it’s rude to make people wait? Then again, maybe I should just leave now. I don’t think I’d be in a good mood when she comes.

Still, I decided to wait. Once in a while, I’d check my watch then I’d look over at the door. Five minutes later and no one ever approached me. I was just garnering weird looks from the waiters and waitresses. Shaking my head, I left Pancake House.

It’s still a bit early so I decided to just walk around the mall for a while. Walking might help cool off the slightly sour mood I’m in. All the time, my phone was in my hand.

Jeron, Almond, Norbert, and LA were the ones who suggested that I should go out on a blind date set-up by them. They all said that they know someone whom I might like. Their purpose was to help me meet someone else who I might end up liking. I finally admitted to all the Green Archers, even to Ina, that my feelings for a certain untouchable Cojuangco run deep. They had no problem about it except for the consequences of pursuing her. Then again, it’s not like I have any plans to do so.

Even a few days after the team building at Batangas, Marga and I still aren’t back to before. We’d still have awkward moments but things were getting better for both of us. I’ve firmly told myself that we’re just friends, except that I have feelings for her (which she can’t know about.)

I was looking around Topman when I saw a top one of the racks at the Topshop. The white long-sleeved top screamed Marga all over it. It would have been better in green but Marga was the first one who came to my mind when I saw it. The top had small thunderbolts prints all over it in random orientations. I remember how she used to doodle thunderbolts all over her notebook last year. I quickly made my way to it because the two stores are connected to each other. My hand was about to grab the top when a familiar voice stopped me.

“I didn’t know you’re into girl clothes, Thomas,”

My thoughts about the top were quickly flushed away as I turned around. There she was, the girl who the same top reminded me off. Marga was donning a small smile on her lips.

“No. I just… It’s just,” I stammered causing her to giggle. “The top actually reminded me of you,” I mumbled.

Marga was surprised. I could see it on how her eyes widened for a second or two. Her cheeks were quick to turn red but I thought nothing of it. Well, I tried not to think about why she was blushing because I was slowly starting to assume things that I shouldn’t be assuming.
