"Watch your step."
His grasp shot a bullet of discomfort through her veins. Her body shivered at his touch.
"Don't touch," she whimpered, digging her teeth into her breaking lips. Her eyes creased together.
Her shoulders were raised like a black cat in the night. The moon glimmered over her the rims of her glasses.
"Sorry, sorry, I just don't want you to fall, okay," he ran his fingers through his bushy beard, gazing right at her crystal clear eyes.
The water swayed her back at forth. She gazed at how the moonlight danced against the sea. It felt touchable. It felt as if it was called her name.
She loathed this boat, but Shahid was beside her, and his warm aroma made her comfort heighten.
He dipped his finger through the cold tresses of the sea, the side of the wooden boat slowly leaning right.
"Shahid it's tipping," she whimpered, clutching against the wood of the boat, squeezing her eyes together. Her stomach churned, clenching her insides together.
He let out a soft chuckle, his cheeks turning a bright pink underneath the gleaming moonlight.
"Okay, okay, I'm sorry, I'm just kidding with you."
He brushed his finger against her soft, buttery skin, beads of water falling against her cheek.
She shook her head like a wet dog. She twitched her nose and crumpled her lips together, running her bent fingers over her face.
Utter silence filled the atmosphere as the wooden boat rocked back and forth, pacing against the swaying waves. The towering trees and the breathtaking scenery of the mountains and glittering sequined stars in the dark sky. Lotuses danced across the sea, surrounding the boat as if they were bees attracted to the pollen of the roses.
"You know, my Maa used to say, that if you see if you see a bright, bright star in the sky, you should wish for the s-something special."
He chuckled again, running his palm over his hair chin, the whites of his teeth reflecting against her face.
"Really?"
