Your P.O.V.

Shit.

SHIT!

My hands were trembling. This is not part of the plan, dammit. I already killed the father but I was blinded by my anger so I accidentally include his child.

The child was five to six years old, I presume. I was called by my boss to kill this fucking man named Hirokawa Toshiro. He was the former right-hand man of my boss but he betrayed us and told our secret hideout two years ago so the gang dispersed and went on their different paths but I still stay loyal to boss. He was the only one who raised me when he saw me standing at my house, holding a knife and blood all over my face.

I shook my head to snap out of my thoughts and I quickly went away but I make sure that I don't leave any trace.

I called my boss to inform him that my job was done excluding the part when I accidentally kill the child.

I decide to go home as I walking down the streets, I spot a coffee shop called Anteiku. I hope they sell a vanilla shake.

I walk inside the shop and examine my area, the shop was not crowded. I saw only three to four customers.

"Welcome to Anteiku!" The waiters and waitresses beams.

I sat near the window and I felt like I was home. This coffee shop made me feel cozy.

"(Y/n)?" A timid voice called out, I turn my head to its source and I saw Kaneki.

I just stared at him and I fully examine him. He has soft looking white hair that it looks like a snow, I also notice his nails were painted black. Is he a goth or something?

I stop to look at his soft grey eyes. They were so mesmerizing I could look at them forever. I shook my head to shake off my silly thoughts.

"Do you sell vanilla shake, snowball?" That nickname suits him since he really look like a snowball because of his hair.

"Snowball...?" Kaneki blinks but shrugs "Yes, we do sell vanilla shake here. I assume that's gonna be your order."

"Yeah." I answered. Kaneki went back to the counter to make my order.

I also spot his co-workers glancing to me, I sighed.

He went back with my order after a few minutes and he put it on the table in front of me.

"Enjoy your order." With that, he turn around and walks away but I grab his wrist. I didn't know why I did that.

"Do you need something, (Y/n)?" He ask.

"Let's talk." I said as I sip my shake and I finally let go of his wrist. I heard him sigh and he sat across from me.

Silence.

Neither of us decide to talk, just staring well I was the only one staring at him with a blank look on my face. I saw him squirm under my gaze.

"Do you like books?" He asks, that's a good topic.

"Yes, I do like books especially the angst ones." My favorite book is They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera and my second favorite book is History Is All You Left Me also by him.

"Like?" He questioned.

"They Both Die At The End. It was my first favorite book because I can relate to Rufus Emeterio, the character there." I can relate myself to Rufus, we're both lost and our life is fucked up in a way.

"This is weird, you know." I blurt out.

"Why, though?" He ask, he tilt his head in confusion. Cute.

What?

I ruffle my hair and sighs, "We barely know each other but I felt like you're trustworthy person."

"Then, let's be friends." He said, smiling a little.

"Yeah, let's be friends." He was my first friend in my whole entire life. I'm so relieve I have a friend but I can't risk telling him my true identity. I don't want to break our newfound friendship but if he were in trouble, I'll always be there to protect him.
