Sozen the Ghost Shinobi

Chapter Fifteen

As Sozen found his way to Lady Tsunade's office, he found himself wondering about his connections with his team. The only one he seemed to connect with was Kakashi so he might need an attitude adjustment and get to know the younger teams or ever Team Gai. The Jounin might warm up to him soon and then he'd be able to start getting to know more people. 

With a plan in mind, he knocked on Tsunade's door. With the call to enter, Sozen didn't expect Tsu to be standing in front of the Hokage. With a slight sweat-drop, Sozen waited to Tsunade to begin.

"Tsu has explained her offer to train you in Senjutsu in that of Aoi no Hono as well as touching upon the idea of the... Izanagi," Tsunade slowly explains.

"Yes, we got done with that conversation not long ago," Sozen comments.

"I see you made a summoning contract while in Suna too, as well as reportedly communicating with Shukaku... Care to explain that?" Tsunade's eye twitched.

"It was important?" Sozen asked. 

Tsunade slammed her fist on her desk causing Tsu to jump into Sozen's wincing arms.

"I specifically told you not to use chakra! Please tell me that's all you did?" Tsunade looked a little done.

"Asides from a fox biting into my neck yeah, nothing else happened," Sozen shrugged.

Tsunade didn't answer but walked over to Sozen as Tsu, again, vanished from Sozen's hold. Tsunade placed her hand over Sozen's chest and green chakra emitted from her hand. Sozen assumed she was taking a look at his chakra system or how his body was coping. It had been a quiet worry in her mind that Sozen's sudden growth could damage his body but in that aspect, he seemed fine.

"Your chakra system seems to be doing a lot better now, you might be able to get a reign in your chakra output if you're careful," Tsunade gave Sozen a small smile.

"Is it all the seal's fault? To my knowledge Orochimaru only wanted my Fujimoto Kekkei Genkai cut off so I couldn't read his mind," Sozen commented. 

"Having a Kekkei Genkai like the Fujimoto's is very hard to suppress, especially since the Jutsu and talents came naturally to you," Tsunade observed.

Sozen nodded his head, in truth he was unsure of why the seal had buggered him up so much and looking back on it, the other's seemed uncertain too. In the end, all the seal done was throw Sozen a curveball and allowed Orochimaru into his mind, Itachi saw him at the turning point in his health before everything went downhill and Sozen was running out of ways to fight Orochimaru when he-

"Lady Tsunade, what happened around the end of the fight with Orochimaru when I was captured? I never got a chance to ask," Sozen suddenly blurted catching Tsunade and Shizune off guard.

"Are you referring to your last attack?" She quietly mused. 

With a quick nod of his head, Sozen commented the last thing he properly remembered was stepping in to fight before waking up in Orochimaru's base.

"For a start, I believe you were going to use a power Fujimoto Jutsu given you had a mass of chakra accumulated then the seal activated and wrapped you in chains before you seemingly got rid of all of your chakra," Tsunade looked over to Shizune to confirm to which she nodded.

"No chakra? That should have killed me? No wonder I hardly remember the process," Sozen sighed.

"So you figured something out?" Tsunade asked.

"I apparently was taught the very basics of Senjutsu when I was very young," Sozen answered slowly, "I've known for a while I unknowingly gather small amounts of Sage energy. It seems that's what I put my money on in those moments only... It seems I spent my time gathering energy without knowing how to use it?"
