One Week Later

***Kaleigh's POV***

What happened at the party seemed pretty traumatic at first, but since then I've felt so relieved. We've hung out with Nash and Hayes everyday this week, and I'm starting to develop feelings for Nash. I feel slightly guilty because Jake accused me of leaving him for Nash. I didn't know at the party that that these feelings would develop so quickly though.

Nash understands everything that I'm going through. He told me that his parents got a divorce a few years ago. I don't know why, but somehow I feel like I can trust him, and I told him my whole life story. He says it will get easier, but I just don't know.

Kaden seems better, she's been hanging out with me and the boys so much this week and hasn't really been associating with Gigi and her old group. Hayes and her still don't exactly get along. All they do is make bets with each other.

I look down at my phone and saw a text from Nash.

From: trash-NASH<3

"we're goin to the carnival tonight. would u and kaden be interested??"

I chuckled at my nickname for Nash like I do everytime I read his texts. I was so giddy that we were making plans. Hanging out with Nash and Hayes has been so much fun. Hayes is like the little brother I've always wanted, but Nash, I have more than just brotherly feelings for.

To: trash-NASH<3

"OF COURSE!"

***Kaden's POV***

Kaleigh just ran into my room and told me that we're hanging out with Hayes and Nash again tonight. I gotta admit, I'm really starting to love our little adventures with the Griers.

*At the carnival*

"Hey guys, are y'all hungry?" asked Nash

".....OR NAHHH," screamed Hayes

"Umm BRUH, that's my thing!" yelled Nash

"I'm not hungry," I replied

"Hey Nash, you wanna go on the Ferris wheel before we eat? I don't wanna risk throwing up everywhere," said Kaleigh

"Oh yea, the people in front of us might not enjoy that..." said Trash Nash

I lean over and whisper to Hayes, "Hey, let's skip the Ferris wheel. I really don't wanna see these two making out."

We walked away and Hayes looked over and said, "I'm pretty sure they didn't even notice that we left."

I laughed and said, "yea, you're probably right."

***Hayes' POV***

I didn't realize until now how beautiful her laugh was.

Wait. Stop thinking like that. She's become like my sister. I shouldn't be having those kind of feelings for her. I mean, I'm sure she doesn't feel that way about me anyways.

We walked towards the bumper cars and I looked over at Kaden. I could tell we were thinking the same thing. We both ran towards the blue car.

"Move, Hayes! This one is mine!" Kaden shouted

"Oh whatever!" I thought about fighting her for it, but I thought I'd just let her get by with this one. I went over and got into the yellow car.

The ride operator counted down then started playing Boom Clap on the speakers. As the ride started, I went straight for Kaden's car. It's obvious how competitive she is. She was trying to hit every single car in the ring. She didn't even notice that I was only chasing her.

I yelled "BOOM" in synch with the song and bumped Kaden's car. That finally got her attention. I was now her target. I managed to avoid an attack from Kaden until the end of the ride.

Kaden pushed me down the ramp as we walked off the ride. We both laughed, but it caught me off guard.

Right then, I heard several voices scream "OH MY GOD HAYES!!"

I knew exactly that I had been spotted.

"Hey Kaden, wait right here for just a minute."

I felt bad leaving Kaden, but I would feel horrible if I didn't meet my fans.

I walked to the girls. I could tell they were nervous and excited. "Hey ladies! Want to get a picture?" I asked.

The girls were really sweet. Nash and I truly have the best fans.

***Kaden's POV***

So, Hayes just kinda left me standing here. I kept my eye on him as he walked toward those girls. They seemed super excited to see him? I guess they knew him from his old school? I wonder why they're treating him like some sort of rockstar. Is that what the girls think of the basketball players on the other side of town?

I don't think I'm jealous or anything. Just curious. What it is about him that they went so crazy over?

Hayes walked back over.

"Friends of yours?" I asked.

"Well...I guess you could say that," he replied.

I decided not to bring it up again. We walked over to the funnel cake booth in silence. After a small bit of awkwardness Hayes said, "Kaden, about those girls....well....Nash and I...actually....I tell you someday soon. I promise."

Now I'm even more curious.
