Chapter Three

Tamara woke up and stretched with a yawn. Looking up at the sky that was now a light blue instead of the beautiful canvas of dark blue, light purple, gentle pink, and stunning orange mixed together in the sky like it was last night. She sighed and patted the rough bark of the tree. She looked down and began to climb back to the ground below her.

Once down, she began to walk back to Edds house. She wanted to be walking home. To see Ells smiling face and Mattildas warm and goofy presence. They are just like her sisters. She missed them so much despite seeing Edd and Matt all the time. It just wasn’t the same. But then there was… Tom. Tom was always sweet and sarcastic but still managed to make her smile and feel better. Even thinking about him made her blush and smile. But… he was taken… That very fact made her frown and tear up. She sighed and bumped into something. She rubbed her forehead then looked at what she bumped into. The front door. She let out a shaky sigh and slowly opened the door and walked inside. “Where have you been young lady?!” Edd scolded her with a stern mom voice. Hands on his hips and his brows furrowed. Tamara smiled at him softly. “Shut up” She chuckled out. Edds expression softened, walking up to hug her. She hugged him back and close her eyes and melted into the embrace. She, in all honesty, needed this. “Tamara!” A voice said. She felt herself get embraced from behind. The scent of Smirnoff and pineapple that always seemed to calm her was strong. Tom. She blushed lightly and smiled softly. “I was worried sick! Where were you?!” Tom said with a worried tone. “Up a tree,” Tamara said with a slight giggle. Tom sighed and chuckled. Tamara blushed a bit more. Edd looked at her sadly. It was very obvious that Tamara was deeply in love with Tom. “Tommy who’s that?” Asked a gentle female voice. Tom looked behind himself and left Tamara to go to the womans side. Tamaras heart ached. Tom smiled at the woman. She had soft blue ocean eyes and pale skin. Her hair was wavy and went to her shoulders, it shined a warm gold color from the living room light. She looked to be about the 5’6 and was quite curvy with her hourglass body. She made Tamara so jealous with her beauty. Tom hugged the stunning woman and kissed her cheek. “She’s my friend Tamara. She’s like a sister to me, sorry if I worried you when I hugged her.” Tom chuckled out. Tamara felt her her heart crack. The woman giggled and shrugged. “You didn’t worry me Tommy. I was just surprised.” The woman said then walked over to Tamara and held her hand out. “Hi! My name is Destiny.” She said with her sweet as honeysuckle voice. Tamara faked her best smile and shook her hand. “Tamara.” Destiny smiled. “Stunning name. You look like Tom. Oh, and don’t take that as an insult. Tom is quite the eye candy~” Destiny purred out, causing Tom to blush crazily. That was it. Tamaras heart shattered. Her eyes went a bit dull but it wasn’t noticeable to Tom and Destiny. Edd however, noticed and embraced her kindly. Just like a mother would. “Well…. Tam must be tired, we’ll see you guys later.” Edd said and led Tamara upstairs to his room. Tamara walked over to Edds bed and layed down. Edd sat next to her and looked at her with a sad smile. Tamara just stared at the ceiling. How could she be such an idiot?! Why did she have to fall in love?! Why did she have to feel?! Why did she have emotions?! Why Tom?! Why anything?!?! She let out a sad sigh and rubbed her forehead. She then began to find it hard to breath. She sat up quickly then began to cough uncontrollably. Edd looked at her with a worried expression. Tamara jolted up and rushed to the bathroom, she was Tamara bent over the sink with her hand over her mouth. Edd raced after her and rubbed her back as he began to talk to her in a worried voice. Tamara kept coughing, her skin pale as blood was now pouring out of her mouth onto her hand and the sink. Edd went pale as he was begining to cry.

Minutes have passed and Tamara was still coughing up blood, and now blue rose petals. Tom tried to figure out what was going but was always shooed away by Edd. Tamara began to calm her coughing as she felt something rise up in her throat. She began to choke. Edd panicked and hit Tamaras upper back roughly, sending whatever was in her throat into the sink. Tamara panted in relief and looked into the sink. Edd looked as well and gasped. There in the sink. Lay a stunning blue rose.
