His hands fondled with my breast, leaving me breathless and whining. I was below Rowan, his eyes steadily closed as he kissed up and down my neck. My eyes fluttered closed as one of those hands went lower, sliding gently between my legs. I gasped excitedly, back arching off the bed. It was astonishing what a multitasker this man was, making me feel an overload of sexual stimulation in multiple places at once. I was crumbling in his hands, like dried putty. Maybe not the best analogy because in all honesty... I was very wet putty in his hands.

After enjoying each other for about an hour in my apartment, we found ourselves lying side by side. Breathing heavy, I rolled onto his chest and wrapped my arm around his stomach lazily. Rowan kindly brought a blanket over my shoulders, tucking the blanket in on the sides of my body that touched his cool skin. We allowed silence to take us places in our heads and calmed down our husky breathing. My apartment was dim, all you could see was the city lights outside. A beautiful view after beautiful sex.

His arm tightened around me and strangely enough I enjoyed it. "What is it?" I asked finally, the silence breaking under my light vanilla voice.

"Nothing, it's just been a nice couple of weeks," he replied. All the tension in his body had washed away, leaving both he and I content and comfortable.

I reflected on the last two weeks. The day we made the deal was definitely a little less than two weeks ago. "You mean when we first met?" I asked.

"Yeah, that was nice, too," he said calmly. He wasn't wrong. The first night with him was amazing. It was different and exciting. Another silence grew, leaving us to our thoughts again. Out of no where, Rowan shifted closer to me, a hand going under the blanket to touch my bare side. "What's it like being human...?" He asked.

I cocked an eyebrow, my speech suddenly low on vocabulary. I didn't think that would be something he'd ask. How would I describe being human? And how old is this guy to the point where he forgot? I never bothered asking. "Being human is like..." I began, but I was at a loss at words for a moment. I became very thoughtful. "Being human is being so fragile that eating a tub of ice cream by yourself is suicide," I smiled a bit. "And being human is having constant stimulation whether is exciting or dangerous. Nothing ever gets boring," I started, "being human sucks, to be honest." When I finished, I glanced up to find a small smile on his face.

"Why?"

"Because we are so fragile and weak yet we still do the stupidest things... like fuck a vampire," I grinned and he scoffed.

"I'm insulted!" He acted very disrespected, but I knew it was just an act. I punched his chest, not very hard (not like it would do anything to him, it would just do something to me), in a playful manner. "Having sex with a Vampire is the smartest thing to do! Once you've had a Vampire climax in you you're basically protected," he explained.

"Protected?" I asked, lifting my body up a bit to look at him in the eyes. My mind went back to the territory thing.

"My scent is all over you... you're literally mine," he smirked, making my cheeks pink.

"Whatever. I'm not all about that Vampire Juju so I don't believe in that," I said, lowering back down on his chest and looking away.

"Still, other Vamps won't want to come near you... because if they did, they know what would happen," he began running his fingers up and down my spine, making me shudder.

"Yeah? What exactly will happen?" I challenged.

"Well, I'd go after them," he sounded protective. Which was honestly kind of hot and leaving me speechless.

"I see," was all I could really say but my smile told him that I secretly liked it...

His fingers continued to run up and down my back, the silence burning the room. I felt good lying with him, even though he was cold as hell. I enjoyed every second. Soon the body heat was sharing equally between us after my body gave him some of its warmth generously. I fell asleep with content carved into my face.
