Chapter 3 The Gift

Mika P.O.V

Vanessa was so surprised last night! I knew she would like it. the party was awesome! and I think I maybe drank a little too much. Okay a lot! but it was fun.

Man, when I woke up this morning I felt shitty and my head hurt like someone just through a boulder at it!

But I manage to get myself up.......

To the outside of my door

Then Vanessa came and picked me up. She was always there to help me............

through everything!

I mean she didn't have to, but she decided to become my manager! I thought that was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me! I mean When I quit school my family was all angry with me. Then when I decided to write and sing my own songs my parents were all against it. They wanted me to be a doctor or lawyer or business person. Just like my sisters and brother but I didn't want that. I mean besides my learning problems I wanted a job that I would be happy doing. I job that I would wake up to every morning and be glad to work at.

Even though everyone was disappointed in me ,Vanessa actually supported me and helped me. I couldn't never be here if it wasn't for her.

I got dressed but on a pair of jeans and a hoodie

Then I headed to the kitchen

when I came in the kitchen I saw the table all set up and that smell.....

"Wow everything smells so good!" I said as I took a seat at the table

Then Vanessa came over with a pot of tea.

"Here's some of my grandmas tea it should help" she said pouring it in a cup

"Ah! I love your grandma's tea especially when you make it!" I said taking a sip

"Thanks...." she said as she blushed

"Now hurry up and eat we have rehearsal to get to." she said as she took a seat across from me.

"Bossy..." I smirked

She stuck her tongue out at me

We finished eating and Vanessa quickly cleaned up the table and grabbed the car keys.

She headed toward the door but I got in front her

"Mika?! we gotta go!" she said as she tried to pass me

"Car keys...." I said putting my hand out

"What? No I drive better than you!" she said holding the key tight

"What do you mean better?" I said

"I mean I drive safer,stay on the speed limit and I kept us alive." she said

Sarcastically

"Ha-ha very funny" I said back

"But just gimme the keys!" I said as I quickly tried to grave the keys from her hand

"Nope!" she said as she dodged my hands and slipped right pass me outside

"Hey?!" I said running after her

"It's my car! I should drive!" I said as she entered the driver seat

"Ha-ha!" She said as she stuck her tongue out at me from inside the car

"Now get in we have to get going." she said as she started the car

"Yeah, yeah I'm coming" I said as I walked around the the other side of the car
