Chapter 1: Nerd Crush

So there's this guy, Anurag. I know...what an old fashioned name. But if you see him you'll drool as much as I do. It's really strange because third year is ending and I've been admiring him since the beginning. I'm actually surprised that he hasn't any friends or even a girlfriend for that matter. Maybe his life is extra private.

My friends tell me that he's a dork. Well, he's a cute dork then. Tall, fair, nice hair and his specs just make him even more attractive. Why run after jocks when you can have the science man actually demonstrate you...if you know what I mean.

I'm currently in Chemistry lecture. I hate it basically because he sits like right opposite me and I can't concentrate. Vein popping, muscled body, a goal driven focussed man. How can girls not be attracted to that? This might sound stupid but I'm so damn attracted to guys who outsmart me. I guess it usually never happens but when it does it makes me feel dumb and...aroused...if he's hot off course.

I can easily look at him and he'd have no idea whatsoever. It makes me kind of sad a bit. I guess it's because that one time I was staring at him so hard that he looked at me and got creeped out. There went all my chances....

I was really struggling with Chemistry and I needed help. What a better way to connect with Anurag? Once the lecture is over I gather my things fast so to catch up with him.

"Hey, Anurag." He turned when I called out and he waited.

"Yes?"

"You forgot your pen."

"That's...not mine." It's true. I lied there. Just in case I got stuck.

"Oh, sorry. Actually, I've been wanting to ask you something..." I wonder if he'd agree. But he does charity work for everyone. Why would it be a problem for me?

"Walk with me." We walked outside heading towards the cafeteria. "Homework or assignment?"

"Excuse me, what??"

"Just tell me by when it needs to be done." Oh... now I get it. He thinks I'm loafing off him.

I laugh at the situation and begin to explain. "Uhm Anurag, that's not what I want-"

"If it's not for you then I'll give it to the specified party."

"Just stop!! Let me talk?" Feisty much, Leila??

"Okay..." Now he seems intimidated. Didn't mean to scare you off cuteheart...

"I need your help with chemistry."

"How exactly?"

"I just don't get it and I thought maybe you understand it well so you can explain it to me."

"Oh...no one's asked me that before." He smiled a little...so cute!!!

"Well, now someone did..."

"We've been together in the same class for the 3rd year now. How do you suddenly not understand?" He really is smart. Atleast he noticed me...

"This is a new section, I really don't understand. So will you please help me?" I pleaded with him to get somewhere.

"Okay. When? Where?"

"You choose."

"Hmm...my house at 4?"

"Done!!"

Yayy!! I walked away in full excitement. Oh no I need to calm down. I'm going to learn, not get lost in him. My friends come over to me. Kristy, Diana & Tara.

Kristy: So...what were you doing with dork over there?

Leila: You forget we in Chemistry together...
