Mohini and Moloy Basu sit in front of me, staring like I've done something so bad to their son. I'm honestly scared of this woman. She's so intimidating. I can't believe Anurag called me here and he's not here yet...how do I make things less awkward?
Mohini: So....Leila?
Oh finally....
Leila: Yes aunty...
Mohini: Do I look like an aunty to you?
Leila: Oh no that's not what I meant. Mrs Basu.
Mohini: I'm sorry.
Did she just say 'sorry'....? As good as a surprise that I almost choked on air when opening my mouth to move along the conversation.
Leila: Uhm...Why?
Mohini: If it weren't for you, my Anu would've not returned home and...we cannot lose another son because of our ignorance.
Moloy: Mohini, speak for yourself. But thank you a lot for persuading him, Leila.
Leila: That's not an issue Mr Moloy. I know how important family is.
Mohini had a glint of guilt in her eye. She's not tin woman after all. That's good news to me....I think. Now where the hell is this man!!?
Moloy: Leila, what do you plan on doing after college?
Leila: I haven't decided yet-
Mohini: What do you mean you haven't decided? Are you in college to waste your parent's money?
Moloy: Mohini!! Stop attacking the girl-
Mohini: But seriously....why haven't you decided? It's clear that you're doing engineering, right?
Leila: Yes, I know...but I think I'll be happy doing something else.
Mohini: Like what?
I wanted to shock this lady and keep her mouth shut. If it's even possible.

Mr Moloy chokes on his drink and Mohini's jaw drops. Bingo!!
Anurag: Sorry, I'm late. What did I miss?
Moloy: Err....son, did you know about this?
Anurag: Did I know about what now?
Mohini: Just shut up!!
Anurag: What just happened? Will someone tell me?
Anurag is confused as fuck and now I'm drowning in embarrassment. Trying to shut up Mohini has led me to forget that Mr Moloy was right there. Damn you Leila!!
Mohini: I wasn't done apologizing!
She continues and now I'm surprised. What's up her sleeve?
Anurag: Okay....
Mohini: I still haven't apologized for....I'm sorry for walking in on the both of you...doing...you know.
I look at Anurag heating up while he feels embarrassed.
Anurag: Okay, let's forget that ever happened. How about that?
Moloy: Yes, son. We should order now.
Mohini: I still have some questions for you Leila.
