Chapter 10- days gone by

A/n: Day6 gone by i mean Days gone by XD

I woke up and my eyes were burning from the bright light.

I slowly started to get used to the light and my vision started to clear up. 

I looked up and realized I was in Jungkook's bed.

I heard some giggling in Jungkook's office. I quietly got out of the bed and walked towards the door. I peeked my head and saw Jin-Ae sitting on Jungkook's lap as they were coloring. 

"Appa! I can't draw that good." Jungkook laughed quietly.

"Baby, you need to practice. You won't get good at something at the first try." Jin-Ae laid her head on the desk.

"Aish! Appa help me!" Jungkook started to caress her head.

"I will. But baby keep it down. Eomma is resting." 

Jin-Ae sat up and started to draw again.

"Appa! Watch I'm gonna draw you and Eomma!" 

I watched as Jungkook kept smiling at our little girl. 

I started to get emotional. And soon tears were streaming down my cheeks.

"Eomma?" My eyes cleared and I saw Jin-Ae's smile as she ran towards me.

"My baby!" I bent down and opened my arms.

She embraced me. 

"Careful Jin-Ae, remember Eomma has a baby." Jungkook stood up. "Why are you up, you need to rest some more." 

I picked up Jin-Ae.

"I'm fine now. Don't worry." I smiled. 

"Jae, what happ-" I cut him off.

"Jin- Ae, let's go play." I looked at Jungkook. 

I tugged my ear. 

Jungkook laughed, remembering our little secret. 

"Eomma! let's play!" 

"How about we play hide and go seek in the dark. Later when there is no one in the house." Jin- Ae nodded her head happily.

"YAY!!!!!!!!!!!" 

"But for now, let's just go visit Auntie Ara. Go check up on her and the baby."

"Okay. We've been always for almost 30 minutes in silences. Are you gonna tell me what happened or am I just gonna be hot in this suit."  I laughed as I started to walk ahead of him.

I turned around and walked backwards.

"Let's just enjoy this beautiful day."  I opened my arms and took a deep breath. "It's so nice!" 

it was quiet. I slowly opened my eyes. 

he was staring at me.

"What?" I questioned. 

His eyes were piercing into me.

"I'm enjoying the beautiful view." I covered my face.

"Aish you are so chessy. Stop!" I cringed.

He laughed and rushed towards me. Wrapping his arms around me.

"I want to take some pictures of us. And of the garden." I pulling away from him

"I'll go get my camera. You stay here, I'll be back." 

Jungkook started to walk away. 

I stood there for what felt like forever

Then I heard some noise behind me. Almost like someone running

Jimin poping from behind the trees. He looked annoyed

"Damn! Jimin! Scared me!" His annoyed face changed into a surprised face

"You scared me too. Why are you by yourself? It's not safe even with the walls." 

"I'm fine. What were you doing?" Jimin just shook his head..

"Nothing. Some guards said there were some people behind the walls. So I went to check up on it." I nodded my head.

"Jimin. Go rest. Ara needs you right now, especially with the baby." I gave him a look.

He laughed. "Okay, mom. I'll go." 

When Jimin was gone, Jungkook finally came back.

"What took you so long?"

"Sorry. Some guards wanted to talk."I nodded my head.

"Let's go take pictures!" I nodded my head.

But something wasn't right. Something happened and Jimin isn't telling me. 

But I let it passed.

"Aish, an attack again! Those damn rebels I swear."  I heard Jungkook yell from my office. 

I stood up and walked to where he was sitting.

"What happened this time?  Is it that bad?" Jungkook rubbed his temple.

"daegu, houses burned. 15 injured. 2 killed. What is going on? Didn't they want the ranks to be gone. We did that but no one wants to. Everyone still lives the same as their ranks." I rubbed his back.

"They are scared. It's new. How can they trust it? It's better to stay familiar , than take a risk with something new.  We have to give them time."

"It's been 4 years." I smiled and removed the hair that was in front of his eyes.

"In america, it took hundreds or years for people to finally realize slavery was bad. You can't change someone's mind over-night. It will take time." I caressed his cheeks. 

"Come on. Let's talk about what are we gonna do about these. I'll help you, so you don't have to do everything." Jungkook shook his head.

"No you can't work. The baby." I smiled.

"It's okay." I picked up the file.

"Jeju has too many crimes. Especially, through the youth." I smiled.  

I already had an Idea for this.

"Leave this on to me." I smiled, then picking the next one.

"Boarder are 12. Too many ill soldiers. Military system is horrible. I'll take this one too."

I picked up the next one. 

"The letters. We haven't gotten a new one?" Jungkook shook his head.

"Well set this a side. Something we shouldn't stress out about. Not unless it gets worst."

Jungkook placed his hands on chin. "I love you."

 I looked up from my  paper. "I love you too." 

I smiled. 

We spent the whole afternoon, in his office. Working.

It wasn't stressful or boring.

But enjoyable.
