(Juliet's POV)

I walked down the stairs as quietly as possible. I stopped halfway to catch my breath a little bit before continuing.

I'm now six months pregnant with our twins and it's gotten a lot harder to do things, as you could imagine.

"What are you doing? He's going to kill you." Macy, our housekeeper/maid, said rushing to help me.

"I'm just going for some food."

"You should've called me or Stefano or any of the other men here."

"I wanted to do it by myself for once." I said as we made it to the kitchen.

Ever since Vince found out that I was pregnant with twins he has been.....a bit over the top. Not even a hour after being home from the doctors appointment where we found out that they were twins, Vince had came up with a list of rules for me.

1. No going up or down stairs. I must be carried or take the elevator if possible.

2. If I leave the property for any reason, with or without Vince, there must be at least four guards with me at all times. If I use the restroom then they are to wait outside unless it a public one with stalls, then they can wait inside by the main door.

3. If I feel the slightest bit unwell then I must call Vince and McCall at once or else.

4. I can not lift anything over 15lbs. no matter what stage or month of pregnancy I am at.

5. If I have a craving for food then I must eat it. If it's at two or three in the morning then that doesn't matter. Vince or one of the men will go get me whatever I want from anywhere.

6. If the hormones hit me and I feel like I need or want to cry then I am to cry no matter where I am, what I am doing, or who I am with.

7. If I ever think about calling myself fat then I will be punished by you know who because I am not. I am carrying two healthy baby boys.

I could go on about the rules but I'll stop there.

I was in the middle of making my sandwich when Vince came home from the gym with Gio.

"Moglie, what are you doing?"

"Making a sandwich. What does it look like I'm doing?"

"We've talked about this." He said walking over and taking the butter knife from me.

"Vince, it's a sandwich. I can make a sandwich on my own. I don't need someone doing it for me."

"Tesoro,"

"Don't Tesoro me." I said poking him in the chest.

He smirked. "Macy, leave us." He said and she did. Gio had already left so it was just us.

"Juliet,"

"Vincenzo," I said as he pinned me between the counter and himself.

He backed up enough to spin me around so my back was against his front and I was facing the counter.

He slid one hand around to wrap around my neck.

"You know how I feel about that attitude, Juliet." He said in my ear.

"It's called pregnancy hormones, Vincenzo."

I practically felt him smirk.

He pressed against me so I was almost bent over completely, his body enclosing mine. My growing stomach prevented me from being bent over it completely. Pulling my hair to the side, he ran his lips over my neck and up to my ear.
