Alya and Marinette sat down with Nino and me for lunch.

"Hey, guys," Alya said.

"Hey, Alya. Hey, Mari."

"H-h-hi, A-a-a-adrien," Marinette stuttered out.

I wonder why Marinette always stuttered around me. She was always so confident around Chat Noir. Why was she only like this around me? Did I scare her?

"Dude!"

I jumped, "yeah, Nino?"

"You were staring at Mari. Is everything alright?"

"Oh, sorry, I was lost in thought."

"Sure, dude," Nino said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Mari is just a friend," I told him quiet enough for only him to hear.

Nino just gave me a look. Like if I was the densest person on the planet. Mari was my friend nothing else. I just ate my food, my mind wondering what My Lady was doing.

I was knocked out of his daydream by a blood curdling scream.

The four looked at each other.

"Akuma! Everyone hide!" Mari yelled, getting up.

I took my chance and rand into the boy's bathroom and hid in a stall.\

"Plagg, Claws Out!"

I transformed into Chat Noir and ran outside to face the akuma. I easily spotted my Lady watching something from a rooftop.

"Good to see you're already here, M'Lady."

"Hello, Chatton."

"So, anything on the akuma?"

Ladybug pointed at a girl. She wore a black gown and heels. Her hair chestnut brown was up in an elaborate bun. Despite the veil covering her face, her running mascara and ruined makeup was noticeable. In her hands was a bouche of wilting flowers. I looked over at Ladybug.

"I wonder what happened to her."

"I don't know. She seems... heartbroken."

The akuma turned to face us, "I am heartbreaker! My husband cheated, ruined our marriage! Now I will ruin your relation to all you hold dear!" With that, she threw her bouche in the air, blasting a black powder out in a 10 foot radius.

"I think I got it," Ladybug exclaimed.

"What?"

"She's just like Dark Cupid. But stronger. Everyone is affected similarly."

"I bet the akuma is in her bouche," I added.

"Exactly, we just need to figure out how to get it without getting affected."

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Lucky Charm!"

A vacuum cleaner fell out of the sky and into Ladybug's hands.

"So, what's the plan?"

Ladybug gave me a smirk, and handed me the vacuum. "I need you to guard my back."

With that, Ladybug swung down at Heartbreaker. I turned on the vacuum and followed her. Lb struck a few blows while I vacuumed the dust. Every once in a while I would toss her the vacuum or she would pass it back, keeping Heartbreaker on her toes.

"Chat, now!" Ladybug yelled, catching the vacuum.

"Cataclysm!"

I snatched the bouche, catching Heartbreaker off guard. The flowers dissolved in my hand, releasing a little, black and purple butterfly.

"No more evil doing for you, little Akuma, time to de-evilize," Ladybug caught the akuma in her yo-yo. "Got ya! Miraculous Ladybug!"

The vacuum became a million ladybugs, cleaning up all the mess.

"Pound it!"

"You did great, Chat," Ladybug's earrings beeped. "I have to go. Can you help get her home?" She asked signaling at the victim who was awakening.

"Of course, M'lady. I'll see you tonight for patrol."

Ladybug smiled, "Thanks, Chatton. Bug out!"

With that she was gone. I just stood their like an idiot, staring at her dreamily.

"What happened?" A voice interupted my thoughts.

I turned around to see it's source. A young woman- maybe 25?- sat on the floor. She wore a blouse, jeans, and flats. Her chestnut hair in a low side pigtail. Her bloodshot hazel eyes stared painfully at me.

"You were a victim to Hawkmoth. Don't worry, everything is fine."

"Thank you, Chat Noir," she said in a hoarse voice, wiping away tears.

"Hey, do you want me to help you home?"

"Please."

"What's your name?"

"Valorie," stated the woman.

"Valorie, what happened?"

"My husband cheated," she hiccuped, hugging herself. "He broke my heart, our marriage, and the worse part is that I was going to tell him-" she stopped momentarily, "that i was pregnant when I discovered him cheating."

I stared at her, unable to find words of comfort. Then I found them, "You know, you don't need that asshole. I barely know you, but I can tell that you are a strong and hardworking woman. You don't need him. So if that ever crosses your mind, it's a lie. Also, nothing is ever fully broken. You can fix it, it just needs a little elbow grease."

A smile spread across Volorie's face, "You mean it?"

"Cat's honor."

"Thank you, Chat. You really helped."

"No problem. I'll see you around. And remember, if you stay positive and work hard, you can overcome anything."

"Bye."

I ran back to school, detrasforming in a little, abandoned nook. Lucky for me, I still had 5 minutes of lunch.
