"You ruined my encounter with Ladybug!" I hiss to Plagg, who was hiding out in my bag as I quickly hurried after my dad, who was discussing "important matters" with Nathalie, who had stayed in Paris while me and my dad were gone. We had arrived at New York a few hours ago and, to Plagg's annoyance, I had spent the entire plane ride cursing my last interaction with the famous superhero. Now we were on our way to a conference room at some expensive hotel for one of my dad's meetings, which I was supposed to attend as part of my punishment, Any of Plagg's earlier comments about touring New York being demolished by my father's extensive modeling and fashion related plans.
"Hey, its not my fault you don't know how to keep track of time...or kiss a lady for that matter." Plagg retorts laughing and before I can try to regain my dignity my dad stops in front of a door turning to look at me with narrowed eyes.
"Look Adrien, we are about to go into a meeting with one of the biggest technology industries in the market right now. I'd appreciate if you would keep your composure. I don't want your face on the front cover of some gossip blog...again." This last part is especially venomous and it takes my entire will not to roll my eyes at him, but I manage, stifling a sigh as we enter a giant conference room. I've been in this type of events several times before, but it still manages to impress me, the amount of stressed out, rich people like my father all somehow crammed in one room to talk about their own selfish business interests amazes me. However, before I can somehow disappear into a corner of the room to complain to Plagg about this ordeal a flash of red catches my eye and I turn suddenly running straight into no one other than...Kagami?
