Chapter 2

Chrissy looked up from the computer frustrated. "There isn't anything good playing at this stupid movie theater! It's all either rated 'R'or for little kids. Anyone wanna sneak into 'Ted'?" She looked at us with a hopeful gleam in her eye.

"Sorry Chris I don't think either of us would be alive if our moms found out about that" I said to her sadly. Our parents were really close (and very strict!) even after Chrissy and Kev's parents divorce 5 years ago. It was hard on the whole family but especially for the kids. Their dad moved an hour away and proceeded to date women that were only a few years older than Kev. It put a strain on their relationship with him but Kev was determined that he would snap out of it sooner or later and was trying to convince Chrissy of that. She never really forgave him for ruining their happy little family.

"Keep googling stuff to do. There's gotta be something we haven't done yet." complained Brian, who still hadnt moved from his spot on the floor.

"Ugh" I said, flopping down on the floor next to him, staring at the revolving blades of the fan above our heads, "There has to be SOMETHING!"

"Oh wait wait wait I think I may have found something!" Chrissy clicked on a link. "Yes this is perfect! We've never done this. Read it and weep boys." she gloated as she scooted away from the computer. Kev and Brian got up to look over her shoulder.

"Hey this actually sounds pretty good." Kev admitted. "Good work little sis. You actually found something this time." "Yes, yes I did", Chrissy said with a smirk.

"Wait well now I have to see this amazing idea of yours" I said jumping to my feet. As I peered at the screen a grin started to emerge on my face. "This. This might just be amazing. This is going to make our summer!" what was on the screen was a brightly colored flyer for a bonfire. We were going to a beach party!

"Oh my gosh I can't believe you've never been to Rosewood beach!" I chided Chrissy.

"I'm sorry, geez. I've just never been as privileged as some people in the room" she raised an eyebrow at me.

"I'm sorry it's just that we live like 2 seconds away from it. I used to go all the time as a kid." "We did?" Brian shot me a quizzical look.

"Yes Mr. Oblivious we did." I shook my head. I swear my brother never remembers anything. He barely remembers the last school year and don't even get me started on the grades for his memory quizzes! I make fun of him all the time because I have a perfect memory. Ask me anything. I can tell you little details about pretty much anything I've been through. I consider it to be kind of like my superpower. I'm awesome super memory woman or something like that. My theory is that I got all the remembering genes and my brother got - well - none. He hates when I tease him about it so naturally I do it all the time.

"What is there even to do there? I mean it sounds awesome but what are we going to do?" Kev asked me.

"Well there's that beach party thing or there's like a million beaches to hang out at. We'll figure out something to do. Its better than just hanging around here."

"True, true." he shot me a cocky grin. "plus you know you are just dying to see me without a shirt on."

"Oh of course!" I slapped a hand on my face "That must be it! Why didn't I think of that before." I rolled my eyes and muttered "pretty boy" under my breath.

"Hey I heard that!" Kev exclaimed, feigning being hurt.

"C'mon idiot," Chrissy exchanged an exasperated look with Brian and grabbed her brothers arm. "Let's go get our stuff. I am so excited!" She gave her long hair a little flip and dragged Kev out the door. I had to admit, this was going to be epic.
