2 - hanging out

Coming home from school was the highlight of my day given how weird it was. When I got back I found Xaria home making some food, she greeted me when I walked through the door.

"Hey loser, how was school today?" she insults.

"Pretty boring, moron. I met some really weird-ass guys today," I threw my backpack on the couch and immediately made my way for the fridge.

"That sounds like fun, idiot. How were these guys?"

I invaded the fridge. I found nothing to my liking and then I went over to my sister to see what she was making. It seems that she was making some chicken nuggets in the microwave. I love me some hot and soggy chicken nuggets.

"They both were new to the school and asked me for some help. One of them thinks that I am gonna hang out with them today, he was oddly into me," I pointed to the microwave. "Can I steal some nuggets, fatty? Or are you gonna eat them all?"

By the time the microwaved dinged. She grabbed the plate and made a run for her room, I chased after her but sadly I failed because she was able to reach her room and lock the door behind her.

"You buttmunch, that was so dirty,"  I yelled through the door.

I heard a cackle from her. "Sucks to suck, garbage licker. There are no more chicken nuggets by the way so you can starve."

I kicked her door. "Not cool." She laughed again, "Love you."

I began to walk away, she irritates me so much.

"By the way the gym called, you don't have practice today cause your coach is on vacation," she yells through the door. I was actually looking forward to going today, this coach likes to do things last minute and it's really annoying. I went to my room to lay down. I might as well take a nap before Tiana forces me to go out with her.

I checked my phone for anything new. I had 3 unread messages from Tiana herself.

Starbucks at 7?

You better come it's your birthday :)

I will abduct you from your house if you do not come!!

I sighed, I really did not want to leave my house today other for gymnastics, and that was canceled. I texted her back,

Yes, I will be there. But can we go at 8?

I remember I told that guy to come to Starbucks and I am not trying to meet him again today. I put my phone on to the counter and then hopped on my bed. My bed felt extra soft today because I fell asleep in almost an instant.

I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. I checked it, it was 7:50 pm and Tiana was calling. I groaned reaching for my phone answering it.

"Hello?"

"You sound like you just woke up."

"That's because I did."

"Oh," she pauses "Well I just pulled up to your house. Let's go and get your birthday coffee."

I let out a frustrated sigh. "Tiana, I am fine with a simple 'happy birthday', you do not need to do this"

"Yes, I do because I felt like I haven't hung out with you in a while. Please come down and let's go"

I could tell that she genuinely wanted me to go out tonight. I groaned and told her that I was making my way downstairs. I hung up and rolled myself out of my bed slowly. I took my sweet time making my way downstairs, she began to honk her horn in order to try to get me to hurry up, but I was not with it. I rummaged the shoe rack to find some shoes until I realized that I did not care. I found some Birkenstocks and made my way outside were Tiana was sitting in her Toyota Camry in the driveway.
