Last night I thought to myself, "I'll write a part about the military" but I am not doing that today, because that is not what you want to read is it?
The military would be a happy chapter. I would title it something like "My happy place." and I would write about how the military makes me feel all these positive emotions.
That part would be one I would be proud of and would want people to read and because of this I do not want to write it, I don't want to be disapointed when I see the few people who read it and that they stopped reading at 50%.
I've heard that people is drawn to good things, though this does not match what I have seen.
It is easy to see the fact that people is more drawn to negative events. Think, how do you get famous fast on social media? You start a drama, that's the easiest and fastest way to get followers and such. The way is not to be happy is it? You have to be mad or another negative feeling as that.
I see this in real life too, people who cut to get attention, people who threten to kill themselves.
Cutting has this way become something "cool", something that draws attention to it.
Have you ever heard the song "Neon Gravestones" by Twenty One Pilots?
It is worth a listen, a LISTEN. Listen to the lyrics.
None of you will probably actually listen to it so here is the verse I feel says a lot about today's society;Don't get me wrong
The rise in awareness
Is beating a stigma that no longer scares us
But for sake of discussion
In spirit of fairness
Could we give this some room for a new point of view?
And, could it be true that some could be tempted
To use this mistake as a form of aggression?
A form of succession?
A form of a weapon?
Thinking "I'll teach them"
Well, I'm refusing the lesson
It won't resonate in our minds
I'm not disrespecting what was left behind
Just pleading that "it" does not get glorified
Maybe we swap out what it is that we hold so high
Find your grandparents or someone of age
Pay some respects for the path that they paved
To life, they were dedicated
Now, that should be celebrated
Important words.
I hope you had a good or better day.
