A/N - Hi welcome back and sorry for the delay in the chapter. Hope you enjoy!

(Y/N)'s POV (A/N kinda if you can tell me what POV this would be that'd be great thx!)

The morning had come and you were preparing for the long journey to Rivendell where the council to decide what fate the ring would have would be decided. Fixing the rest of your hair into a braid you settled your crown onto your head. 'Why is it that just when we were finally finding peace that we have to go off and ruin it all?'  Your mind wandered as the door to your bedchambers creaked open. Edlen was standing there watching you for a little before she decided to speak.

"Why do you both have to leave?" her voice trembled slightly.

"Because we are the only people who can help decide what we shall do in this dreadful situation," your voice was clear as you stood up to grab your cloak.

Edlen just nodded and gave a soft whisper of "be safe". She then left the chamber disappearing from your vision completely.  Sighing you grabbed the broach that would go on the cloak. It was a simple leaf with gold edging as well as emerald fill. For something so simple it was quite pretty at least when accompanied by the green cloak that yourself, Legolas, as well as your guard who would follow to Rivendell. Swinging the cloak you brought it to land on your shoulders delicately and clasped the broach to it to keep it closed. You knew this was going to be a difficult journey not just for you but Legolas and even Edlen. Though she wasn't going with this would be a trying time for the city of Mirkwood, no this was a trying time for everyone, for the world. By the time you arrived at the front of the palace gates the horses had been prepared and everyone else was there finishing preparations for what would be almost three or four days of riding and barely resting.

"Are you ready to go (Y/N)?" Legolas' voice echoed in the quiet of morning.

"Yes, yes I think so," you spoke softly as you finished attaching your pack to your horse, Faer. Her name meant spirit, you saw it fit as she was white as spirits from stories you had heard as a child.

Lifting yourself on top of your horse you waited for the signal of the gates opening and for the journey to begin.

"We shall ride until dark and then rest until dawn from there we shall continue to do so as long as it is safe where we end," Legolas spoke as he guided his own horse towards your own.

"Of course hervenn," your voice glided over the Sindarin that you had been taught to speak for years now.

Legolas gave a slight smile then raised his right arm and shouted, "nor-hi!"

All of us moved forward as one singular body exiting the city and heading into the wood before us. The horses galloped quickly on the worn dirt path that we had chosen in case others tried to backtrack where we had come from. This would make it very difficult to follow the marks as no one was very capable of making it through the Dark Wood, even more so if that person was not of elvenkind or had been through before with on of elven decent. Glancing back you watched as the tracks you made were silently sitting barely noticeable even with your half-elf eyes. This only meant that any of the species of men would struggle to ever find your home and loved ones. Smiling at this thought you spoke to your horse, "noro lim, noro lim, Faer" and she listened speeding up. You quickly made your way to your husband and rode beside him.

"Is there something you needed, Melethril?" he asked looking in your direction before turning forward to watch.

"Nothing. Does a wife need a reason to ride beside her husband?" you questioned glancing at him with a smile on your face.

"Of course not but seeing as you have been riding behind for many hours worth ranga," he said with a amused tone.

"Hmf though I have not ridden with you for several leagues does not mean that I do not wish to ride beside you," you said sending a sharp glare to him.

Legolas gave a short laugh and continued riding. Eventually you saw an end to the Dark Wood and started towards the Misty Mountains. We would have to pass the carrock before we would cross through the path in between the mountains which was the high pass. I remember when I first came from Rivendell to Mirkwood and the King's Hall. The journey then was long and I remember it taking longer than a few days but then we had rode at a leisurely pace, now we were riding hard and fast to make it to the council that would be held on the twenty-fifth day of Narbeleth. Legolas had said that there would be many there showing each of the kingdoms, yourself and Legolas from Mirkwood, men from Gondor, as well as dwarves from the White Mountains. This would be hectic to say the least as you knew how your husband felt of dwarves and most of this was because of what his father had said but also because of what had happened when the dwarves had shown in Mirkwood.

"daur!" Legolas shouted bringing everyone to a halt.

By everyone you really only meant you, Legolas, and the two guards you had brought in case of unforeseen circumstances.

"What is it?" you asked noticing you were not even past the Old Ford bridge which meant only half a ways to the mountains.

"We must stop here for the night the horses will not be able to continue tomorrow if we push them to far today. It is also night and I thought you would value sleep, was I incorrect in my assumption?" he asked looking at you with almost a mocking look.

That was when you noticed how tired you actually were and all you had done was ride for seldom few hours. Glancing at your husband who was now smiling with a face that showed he had won.

"I will not deny the need to sleep but a little further and we would have shelter in that little patch of trees," you smiled as pleasantly as you could while watching his face go from a pleased look to one of annoyance.

"Well then shall we move (Y/N)?" he asked his annoyance and anger hinting in his voice.

Giving a slight nod you followed the guard and your husband to the small grove to rest. This would be a long journey if he was to be angry with you the entire way you would just have to figure something out to fix the issue before you arrived in Rivendell. It would be bad to not show a united front before the other groups that would be there. You had two more days to fix this but for now you were just going to rest.
